This guy.

We learned last night, 30 minutes before the **** show that was the debate, that my father tested positive for Covid. He had a slight sore throat, and at a routine Dr's appt had a test ordered, and it has come back positive.

So now my household is all going to get tested as all 3 boys have spent significant time with my father as he is their high school golf coach. My oldest is set to travel to Olgeby next week for the State Tournament, but we're waiting to hear what will happen in light of this.

So... yay! :mask:

That sucks.

I'm getting tested too, but it's in order to game dumbfat Jim's color map. Is game the right phrase? Whatever. Do my part to get my county's kids back.

Good luck to your father and son!

Thanks. My Dad is very high risk. Mid 70's, previous heart surgery. My son is upset about potentially missing the State golf tournament, been working towards it all year, but more concerned about my father's health.

Wasn't too bad. Better than having it shoved up my ***. Just brought some tears to my eyes.

We're still waiting to hear from the health department. The entire golf team has been tested now, and my oldest has a friend in one of his classes that is showing symptoms and is getting tested.

It all brings it home that there is no avoiding this virus. There is no way to get around it.

You're not in Fayette County, are you? This week will be the first game of the football season for those high schools, while most surrounding counties have already played four weeks, except for Kanawha, who may be in the same boat.

I'm thinking good thoughts for your family. Sorry this happened, especially the timing for your son's golf tournament.

Went last week......the test sucks
I got tested a few months ago when someone in the house had a mild head cold. I was sure it would came back negative, just like it did, but it was required by work. I honestly didn't think the test was too bad, but I had heard it was really painful. Maybe I was just expecting it to be worse than it was.

Whole family came back negative. Dad still having fevers, but managing. So now we wait and hear how the Health Department is going to react regarding my son and the State Golf Tournament. Regardless of our negative tests, they can still tell us that the kids have to quarantine for 14 days.

I did my duty to the state by getting tested 4 weeks ago. The test doesn’t hurt. When they hit the nasopharynx, you’ll have a ticklish feeling and your eyes will almost automatically start to water. Nothing painful at all and just mild discomfort for a few seconds.
