I think a great solution would be if both groups, the NBA and the police, followed the old Indian adage and "took a walk in each others moccasins", and switched places for 3 months.
I'd definitely pay to see an NBA game just for the comedy gold of ineptitude that would follow.
But maybe, after putting on the uniform and dealing with the stress and daily adversity, the players would see and take a different approach to police work than kneeling and catching slogans.
Each side afterwards would likely appreciate the other a lot more.
