It's doubtful you've celebrated many victories.
Here's a fact, enslited.
The last 5 of 6 General Elections have been won by Democrats in popular vote.

2018 overwhelming went Blue.
Americans are center and left, not maga.
Winning?
One last thing, although I think you are now ignoring me. It's OK, I ignore me sometimes. Popular vote is nothing more than a popularity contest in the political arena. When the 13 original colonies became states the founding fathers saw the possibility of 2 or 3 heavily populated states imposing their choice of president upon the rest of the nation.
The United States would have been a memory. Instead a very wise man from Pennsylvania came up with a formula which allowed the states to choose their leader, while allowing the population difference into the equation.
Congress was set up that way. Based upon population, California has 53 representatives and 55 electoral votes based upon the number of Congressmen as well as 2 Senators from each state, making them all equal in the Senate. Several states only have one Congressman/electoral voter plus the two from the senate.
With the 435 members of Congress and the 100 from the Senate, the number of electoral votes is 535. It takes at least 270 electoral votes to win which usually means a majority of the states. Trump won 30 states last time and Hillary won 20.
Americans can generally accept 30 out of 50 states choosing their leader. If we went by only the popular vote, Texas, California, New York, Illinois and Florida together could choose the president every time. Do you think the other 45 states would stand for that?
Please do not think I am patronizing you here. While you may be a little far left in some of your philosophies, political and racial beliefs to me, you are obviously an intelligent, articulate and educated man. I want everyone to understand the concept of electoral votes, hence the lengthy presentation. I'm surprised you oppose that concept, being a man of color.
