No kidding - sports is (supposed to be) an escape. Who wants to get pissed off by sports? These media moguls are really mis-reading the tea leaves.

the really amazing thing is......if you think about it, is that instead of doing like Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan, who have taken the business approach of not going political and thus not pissing off half the country, you needlessly take a political stance and thus NEVER get business from half the potential customers out there.

Another guy, who I don't know from the man on the moon, but who appears to me to take the Woods/Jordan approach is the guy who owns this site.

Having said that, why any business person who wants to max out their revenue and bottom line would not take this Woods/Jordan/Vernon approach is beyond me.

I think the NBA is delusional. Who are they punishing? What meaningful change(s) will be made because they don't play basketball games? People will simply turn away or forget sports or specifically the league. A grand gesture I guess ... but to what end?

What? Those aren’t sport stories? Remember when they said they would reduce their dive into politics due to falling ratings. Unfortunately corporate America is covering their lose. Buy local.

NBA protesting does nothing as the people they want to change opinions are not watching NBA anyways. The only people watching NBA now are already on the players side about this issue so the protest is meaningless

I think we should all call into work tomorrow and say we are protesting the Blake death in Wisky.

I’m sure our employers would find that acceptable.[eyeroll]

Here’s my take: I enjoy learning about the personal lives of WVU and other college athletes. I can still relate to them. Professional athletes? I have zero interest in knowing them, I cannot relate to their millionaire lifestyles and would rather not even hear about it. They are better off just being numbers on a jersey to me....

The evil plan to get a new owner for the team formerly known as the Washington Redskins might be working...

something not to watch.

ESPN is irrelevant. Like MSNBC or CNN.
