Bridgestone is a Japanese company. BFGoodrich is French. Why do you hate Americans so much?they are hurting themselves so I don’t feel sorry for anyone at Goodyear or their stockholders. BFGoodrich and Bridgestone have the best tires on the market anyway. Bridgestone also makes the best golf ball now as well.
You have fallen into the crowd that thinks the government should be in control of how businesses are run. I don't. I'd rather let the market decide. And that's just another reason why so many people love the narcissist Trump. It's because he puts the US worker above those nations with child labor and horrible human rights abuses. China also subsidizes many of its industries and even intentionally devalues its own currency to create an unlevel playing field. The US cannot compete with these government tactics. There are countless examples, but one I remember all too well was when they were dumping cheap, subsidized steel into our country. Many of our steel and raw material industries were battered.
You see Coop, you've fallen into the crowd that thinks it's ok to strongly criticize the sitting president of the United States while you ignore horrific lawlessness, unfair trade practices and other major abuses.
Or as a good Friend of mine once said, "though hypocrite, first remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye."

I don’t. Those companies have better quality, especially BFGoodrich and their all terrain tires.

He said ‘boycott Goodyear’. F’ing ridiculous.Kinda like Obamacare....
President's have been fuc#ing with corporations forever.
Some are made in the US. But they are moving plants to China.
Did you read the story you linked? The Goodyear plant in China makes tires exclusively for the Asia-Pacific market. So an American company producing goods abroad to avoid foreign tariffs is bad? Those tires aren't being made for your pickup or any other vehicle in the US.
Also, do you think the fact that people are working from home, hence putting fewer miles on their vehicles, might account for a drop in stock price due to the drop in sales?

I expect for profit companies to make decisions based on their bottom line. I'd prefer they gave jobs to Americans, but I understand that it might be cheaper for them to make tires for Asia in Asia. If they were shipping those back here, I understand your complaint more. And someone in this thread was singing the praises of non-US companies making tires in the US. Do you think that's due to their America first plan or because it's cheaper to do that?I have read plenty about the Belt to Road initiative and how it's stealing jobs from Americans. FFS make the tires in WV or anywhere in the United and ship them to ASIA. The idea of people will be working from home forever is moronic. If you have a job that allows you to play with your balls all day then good for you but there are a lot of Americans that want to go back to work.
The ‘Wall St driving business decisions’ ship sailed 3.5 yrs ago.You have fallen into the crowd that thinks the government should be in control of how businesses are run. I don't. I'd rather let the market decide.

And you missed the point about working from home. The fact is that people are generally putting fewer miles on their cars. That means they are not having to replace tires as often. I'm not making a point about that being a permanent situation. I'm simply saying fewer miles driven equals fewer tires sold which equals lower profits for tire companies.
You’re a Windbag, ............ you actually believe anyone fell for that?Don't act like you care. Look at this thread, your actions and the leader you blindly follow. I don't follow leftist leaders. Sad you see everything through such partisan lenses. I would think it would be easy for everyone to agree the American President should not willfully harm American companies and American workers.
Who didn’t see this coming? Allow a politically active Lib to have any say in corporate messaging and, ............. it never ends well.
Where are the idiots now who said the slide was fake?
Some leaked audio of the presentation.
