These decisions are being made by Republicans, Democrats and business CEOs that are listening to EXPERTS (which you are absolutely not) in both the science and logistics of pandemics and infectious diseases.

Stories out of Seattle ERs, as well as Italy and France, do not indicate this is just dangerous for the olds.

Even still, the danger of overwhelming our hospitals effects everyone. Think of the logistics of hundreds (even thousands) of deaths at each hospital in your area. Not to mention ICU units, and healthcare workers and supplies being used beyond their supply. Yet heart attacks, car crashes, strokes, etc.... continue to occur.

This virus has already shown its powerful ability to spread faster than any flu or corona virus before it. What if it’s ability to mutate is just as advanced?

People are not taking the decision to shut down lightly. These are people that stand to lose a substantial amount of money, political support, and financial support, yet they are making these calls because they believe these costs will be higher if we go about business as usual.

but besides his “tough guy” rhetoric, he failed to get tests and testing logistics worked out earlier when it could’ve done more, his cuts at CDC prevented us from understanding and preparing for this disease quicker - we’ve know of this outbreak since Jan, yet we don’t know enough about the virus, we aren’t prepared in the slightest in hospitals all over the nation, Governors are acting with more decisiveness and candor then our President. Look at the airports - he wasn’t even able to prepare for the lockdown he ordered, as crowds of potentially infected people stand next to uninfected people waiting for screening that will not effectively identify people that are carrying the virus anyway.

Even today he says it’s “controlled” - when, due to lack of testing capabilities, we have no clue how widespread it actually is at all.

Thanks! All is good with the family, we had a school levy issue in my town blowup into some really petty and immature fighting, so I just got exhausted of all the team oriented arguments. People are different, priorities are different, ideas and solutions can be seen differently - but in the end, we mostly all want the same things, and all love what America is and stands for - I just wish things could change for the better politically.

It’s truth. I’m pissed Huggins missed another chance to cut down the nets, and the reason is my government didn’t do enough initially.

I put up with the corruption, pork, and pocket lining - but I expect my government to use their massive amount of resources to keep my family safe. Testing, tracking, quarantine and isolation should’ve kept this from becoming such a dangerous issue that the tournament had to be shut down!
