Latest one shows growing opposition to impeachment, particularly among independent voters. The very folks Dems need to maintain their majority and defeat Trump in 2020.

New Poll Shows Independents Oppose Impeachment By 15-Point Margin

NOVEMBER 21, 2019 By Chrissy Clark

A new Emerson poll for November found more Independent voters oppose the impeachment of President Trump, compared to October when more Independent voters supported Trump’s impeachment.

In October, 48 percent of Independent’s supported impeaching Trump, with 39 percent in opposition. Now, the tides have turned. 49 percent of Independents oppose impeachment, while only 34 percent support it. That’s a 15-point margin in opposition of impeachment among Independent voters.

According to Emerson’s newest poll, the impeachment hearings are being watched, or at least followed, by 69 percent of voters. These open-door hearings are actually making an impact on American’s perception of the impeachment inquiry.

Emerson’s data concluded voters are getting their impeachment information from the following news sources (the percentage denotes how many voters watch each outlet for impeachment coverage):

  1. Fox News – 26%
  2. ABC, NBC, or CBS – 24%
  3. CNN – 16%
  4. MSNBC – 15%
  5. Outside source – 19%
The results from these open-door impeachment hearings are helping Trump’s case for reelection. There are two narratives circulating in the media. The first, there is no question Trump bribed Ukraine and he must be impeached. The second, this impeachment is a partisan witch hunt.

According to the most recent data, the narrative that impeachment is a partisan witch hunt is the one more Independent and key swing voters believe.

Not only does this data show Democrats are losing Independents in the impeachment hearings, but Emerson’s poll also finds Trump’s national approval has increased from October to November.

“Trump’s approval has increased in the last month with 48% approval and 47% disapproval, a bounce from 43% approval in the last Emerson National poll in October,” the poll reads.

This poll unequivocally proves two things: these impeachment hearings are a farce that voters see right through and impeachment is actually a winning strategy for Trump’s 2020 reelection campaign thus far.

Does it bother you Keyser that the people who you call "morons" are kicking your party's *** on a daily basis? How are you going to survive the next four years with the "morons" in control?

Will you be next to be screaming in an uncontrollable rage like this chick after the "morons" re-elect Trump in a landslide?

start practicing Keyser...

I've just thought of a good idea for a show or movie. First, it starts off with two very hyperpartisan political people (like so many are today) and for balance you have one on each end of the spectrum. Then you have some mysterious plot device trick thing and have them wake up one day having switched bodies. So you're still John Smith, hard core righty, for instance, but today you woke up in the body of Bill Wilson, hard core lefty with a big reputation for being outspoken about it and now you have to deal with all that comes with that.

I'm re-posting this because the numbers have NOT moved in Nancy's direction since it was first written (late September) In fact, it's more relevant today than when it was first written and the overall numbers have actually goten worse! @countryroads89 not amused

Report: House Democrats 43 votes short of impeachment

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/09/18/report-house-democrats-43-votes-short-of-impeachment/

excerpt:
the party is so deeply divided on what they should do next that, to many Dems, it all seemed like a circus without a clear purpose.”

...more

The party’s divide is best illustrated by a simmering behind-the-scenes conflict between Nadler and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the spokesperson for the 60 Democrats who believe impeachment will be a politically disastrous move — going nowhere in the Republican-controlled Senate and galvanizing President Trump’s base as he runs for re-election.

...finally
Pelosi criticized the panel’s handling of impeachment in harsh terms, complaining committee aides have advanced the push for ousting President Donald Trump far beyond where the House Democratic Caucus stands. Democrats simply don’t have the votes on the floor to impeach Trump, Pelosi said.

@countryroads89 refuses to recognize Nancy STILL hasn't called a whip count. The reason is these numbers have NOT moved in her direction.

Now do you see why I picked this as my sig?

Breitbard is a right wing site. I'm not saying what it says is wrong (or right), but I'm saying that if you show a story from a non-right-wing site that says it then more people would believe it.

One of the reasons I don't trust the Left leaning news sights is they were the ones who fed the phony "collusion" story for 3 years that turned out to be totally fabricated. CNN for instance yesterday wouldn't even broadcast the Senate judiciary committee's Republican questioning of Horowitz. (none of the main news did)

So I'm not sure why you think they've earned so much credibility? Regardless, plenty of their polls show the exact same results as what I've posted.

I didn't say left wing sites have earned credibility. I'm just saying if you post something from Breitbart only people will react, understandably, like, well that's Breitbart, so what? Is there no non-partisan websites that says Pelosi is 43 votes short? If not then it makes me wonder whether it's true.

I'm not sure how short she is, she won't take a whip count. The point behind my re-posting the article was to show the reasons she was short back in September haven't changed, and all the polls I've seen are showing at best an even split between impeachment or no
impeachment.

Here, see for yourself
https://www.realclearpolitics.com/e...ment_and_removal_of_president_trump-6957.html

That's not a good sign for Democrat representatives from swing districts. Pelosi herself said if an impeachment not is not bi-partisan, it will fail. The votes on this impeachment are bi-partisan...more Democrats and Republicans against it than for it.

You don’t seem very confident. Otherwise you would take the bet, Radio.

I've never been more confident. Watching that dog & pony show is all the confidence I need.

Besides, I've already bet you. Why are you trying to change the terms? You're not going anywhere anyway when you lose.

Will there be an impeachment vote next week?

Will it pass? What will the final count be?

I'll bet you won't answer me, yet here you are bragging and trying to change the terms of the bet. Nothing I've said when we first bet has changed. I've been 100% correct on everything, while you've dodged all of my questions on it just like you'll dodge this one.

Let's vote and see who's correct? Then you can start with your excuse making why you won't leave this forum.

How many Democrats are prepared to vote for impeachment? You don't seem very confident, otherwise you'd easily answer that question.

I'm not your problem @countryroads89 ...these Democrats are. You need to call them and make sure they know about your bet with me!

These 31 Democrats are the reason Nancy won't take a whip count. If you assume they do not support impeachment (they don't) that leaves her with only 204 hard core Leftists ready to walk the plank for Nancy. She needs at least 14 (roughly half) of these moderate Democrats from Trump districts to join her caucus otherwise the impeachment vote fails.

She doesn't have them.

In all honesty it would please me immeasurably to see your filthy mouth erased from this forum for 2 whole years. However I'm convinced you will NOT leave from here even for one year as you agreed to do once you lose this bet because the fact of the matter is YOU LIE...and you do so more reliably than you curse!

Now if I'm already prepared for you to welch on a one year bet, why would I open myself up to further dishonesty from you and bet you'd stay away for two whole years after losing?

If you feel that strongly about it, even though you refuse to admit the margins on this impeachment vote, YOU self ban for two years after you lose OK?
(I plan to be around here for Trump's re-election celebration this time next year either way)[winking]

A bet with you is worthless. YOU LIE. No one believes you will leave this forum for a year after you lose our bet.

No one.

If you'll lie about your race, lie about your income, lie about your legal pedigree, or lie about Trump, promising to leave this forum for two years is a sucker's bet.
