At this point they are damned if the do or damned if they dont. Should the Barr/Durham investigations be released it won't make a difference either way.......
It honestly doesn’t matter if the House of retards impeaches Trump. The Senate will vote it down. Trump will not only remain in office, he’ll win a second term.
At this point in time I think Trump's defense team would like Impeachment to begin. Senate repubs would be in the lead and Trump's law team would be able to call many witnesses who were not allowed to testify during the Dem Witchhunt. I would love to see Schitff's Adams apple wobble from the stand...
If they want to avoid McConnell running a show in the Senate, and forcing people to the stand that they may not want to take the stand, then Censure would allow them to claim they spanked the President, cover some face with their base and avoid further embarrassment. I don't think that will happen, not based on the rhetoric the members of Shitforbrains committee were using, but it's a possibility.
Maybe. But that's too weak for the kook fringe Left. They still think Impeaching Trump gives them their best chance to get rid of him if not before the election, then as a reason to vote against him.
Little do they realize that for Trump's base and a large swath of independent and swing voters, it will piss them off enough to vote with Trump and against this entire sham.

There's no turning back now, for them. The anti-America Socialists took control of this circus when Pelosi caved to their pressure. For a supposedly intelligent woman, she sure screwed the pooch on this one. She should have stuck to her guns when she said she would not go down the impeachment road, unless it was bipartisan. That was a smart plan, but it was stupid to not stick to it.
What if they take a vote and it fails? Roughly 40 House Dems from districts Trump won in '16 may not want to commit political suicide.
Hey 30CAT I think my post #15 is spot on know why? Nancy hasn't taken a whip count yet. That's always done before a major vote to make sure it will pass. She hasn't called for a whip count yet, and they're supposed to be preparing articles to impeach within the next few weeks?

For sure. This partisan circus, coupled with the FISA report coming out on 12/9, could make a LOT of Dems very nervous.
The fact there has been no whip count which normally happens just before any major legislation to ensure its Passage speaks volumes. I don't think she has the votes!
Calling a whip count now would demonstrate that and force her to call off any talk of impeachment. She can't take that risk.
They have their reason. They HATE Trump for defeating Hillbag and ruining their futures. Not good reasons but they PRESUME they are valid. Damned if they Do/Dont, they have forced themselves into the impeachment corner and must follow through(and win) to pull their voters back into the fold....
On abuse of power they have to prove he did something beyond his Constitutional authority.
Did they? No.
On bribery, they have to prove something was exchanged or received for money or extra influence to alter an otherwise legal outcome. Did they? No.
On extortion, they have to prove he intimidated or demanded actions against someone's will in order to force them into an unwanted action or an action he threatened against them if they did not comply. Did they? No.
On contempt of Congress, they have to prove willfull disobedience of either the law or their authority to govern. Did they? No.
On witness intimidation they have to prove how witnesses were denied or prevented from answering questions or threatened for doing so. Did they? No.
If these are the charges, or articles, this case will be heard with evidence by the full House. Dems better be convincing with their proof. Particularly if the case makes it to the Senate.
I predict their case is weak.
