lol good grief. You fell for an article telling you Trump is seriously trying to remain president for lifetime. Smh
I don’t think he’s trying to do that at all. All Americans left and right wouldn’t stand for it anyway.

I was focused on the quotes in that article

Why do we need a corrupt governments To investigate American citizens?

Part of his ask, according to his administration, was to have the Ukrainians prove that they are not going to continue their corrupt ways. Whether you or I believe that or not is really irrelevant.

But do you really think there are ZERO cases where a foreign government should be asked to investigate potential crimes by Americans?

Cooperation is one thing, asking a foreign government to open an investigation that was already dormant in the year prior to an election when the incumbent President is going to (odds are) be running against the father of one of the people that the President is asking to be investigated? Nah, I think that can get messy real quick.

So overlook potential crimes then?

Wait a second, back when you all were trying to die on the hill of delaying funds, it was positioned the Ukrainians passed our IC assessment of their ability to control corruption. So, our asking them to root out corruption as a condition for a meeting with the President or even releasing the funds, wasn’t needed. According to you all.

Specifically, the elected Ukrainian President ran on an anti-corruption platform as outlined in the individual from yesterday and Bill Taylor’s statements. So, are they corrupt or not?

Investigate them with our nations Bureau of investigations, and as President don’t bring it up with foreign leaders unless those tasked with investigation are being stonewalled by the government on a specific action.

Well, when you have 2 Dem Senators advising the host nation to do that very thing, I think it’s reasonable to ask.

I, personally, don’t know - that’s why I don’t want them involved in investigation of a candidate’s son. I trust my DOJ - unlike you.

I don’t think those Senators were telling them to stonewall American investigations. They were telling them not to get involved in American politics. I see a difference, even though President wannabe Kim has blurred the lines.

So now you trust Barr?
I trust that Barr cannot use the DOJ purely for a political weapon, the same with Obama. Doesn’t mean that politics cant be played by then (Barr’s summary of the Mueller Report is an example). But Wray’s assessment of Nunes memo is an example of how it can’t be weaponized completely.

I trust our DOJ and FBI as well, but they can only go so far in their investigations on foreign soil.

Thinking that we could be potentially electing a man that could have potentially used his position of power to not only get his son high level seats on corporate boards, but to protect him from potential investigations and jail time, deserves a THOROUGH investigation on all fronts and wherever those potential crimes took place.

Or do we only apply that standard to Trump.

Do you think Russia cooperated fully with Mueller?

Foreign governments have agendas too, and care not of American election integrity. I’m concerned about Biden too, for lots of reasons. I don’t like the muck of Washington, but I don’t think someone who has been dealing business with organized crime syndicates in foreign nations like Russia and the Ukraine is clean either. I’ll take the Devil I know — I’m amazed that you guys aren’t even concerned about why Putin wanted Trump elected. To sow discontent? Then why push for his re-election? Putin is probably my biggest foreign concern (even more than Islamic extremism), and he literally wants Trump in office.

You’d know more, surely. But I think that cat is as dangerous as they come- and I think he’s playing your boy like a chump.
Internationally, here is my list.
  1. China’s economy
  2. Islamic Extremism (all inclusive, ISIS, Boko Haram, etc.)
  3. China’s expansionism (Silk Road initiative) and its impacts to our global financial control
  4. China’s island building and its impacts to SCS free trade zone with neighboring nations
  5. Iranian backed and funded terrorism
  6. DPRK nuclear weapon instability
  7. Unfettered immigration
  8. Climate Change and its impacts on my fishing
  9. Venezuela
  10. EU house of cards
  11. UN balance of power
  12. China/Russia partnerships and initiatives
  13. Brexit’s impact on the EU.
Russia’s economy is nothing. They aren’t spreading communism. Their military influence is continuing to lessen. They’re reduced to some regional conflict zones and that’s not even working out well for them. We’re not even close to squaring off from a nuclear perspective like we were in the Cold War. For all intents and purposes, Russia is a non-threat to any major geopolitical aspect which would negatively impact us. If they didn’t have the nuclear arsenal that they have, they wouldn’t even be discussed.

I doubt it, but according to many here, it would have been wrong to ask.

Russia wanted what we have given them. Dysfunctional government as a result of false allegations and empty investigations. They played us like the fools we are.

I said from the onset of this Clinton led red-baiting, they and all of the sheep who followed along played right into what Russia wanted.

Russia has no long game. They're limited in terms of their future growth. They lack a manufacturing base like China has, and doesn't possess the natural reserves to dominate the energy markets. Putin is going to slowly kill that country and not even realize it.

That’s all I got — details and facts prevent me from riding the unicorn jojo! China - Russia Red Dawn invasion in 10 years?
This is going to sound radical, but I think Russia is basically the same as us. A bunch of politicians trying to get rich off of the system and those in power trying to stay in power. I also think Russia may be our best chance of an ally to beat back China.
