I actually pity him now. He is his own worst enemy. We all know he regrets ever leaving WVU, though would never say it.

I do remember hearing something shortly after he left, though I do not remember who said it. It was stated something to the effect of people seeing others smile in the football offices for the first time in years. That said a lot.

Truthfully think his demise would have happened at WVU if he stayed. Too many teams catching up with what he was trying to do. That zone Read play is still a staple for most football teams and very few ran it to perfection like Pat White and Steve Slaton.

Right place, right time with the right people.

What he does isn't advance anymore anywhere he goes.

I still think Butch Jones is a good coach despite what happened at Tenn.

Most at Tennessee since 2007
Some of that was Tennessee buying players but some of that was great evaluating

Butch Jones knows talent.
He inherited a program at Tennessee that wasn't producing players.
Tennessee sabotages their program with the best of them. They never learn.

He would be better at a high level G5 job or low level P5 job.
