If this is Dana's fault

Why is Satterfield's team looking better than WVU?
Didn't Louisville lose like 20 guys to transfer and have a former coach "leave the program in shambles"

Coaching matters.

I'm sorry but this blame Dana excuse is pathetic.

Isn't that the same QB from last year.

Louisville is a lot faster on D than WVU plus they played an athletically challenged ND team. Louisville looked like the more athletic team a lot of that game.
More the opponent than the team. Plus they played at home.
I think WVU is going to look a lot better against NC State. Louisville is going to look overmatched a few times this season especially if their QB can keep possession of the ball.

Houston is statistically worse in most categories so far this year. Is that Dana's fault?

How is Satterfield relevant, considering that he wasn't an option when WVU was choosing a coach anyway?

Because he took over a program that on the surface was a mess.
Neal Brown took over a program that many thought could compete but is perceived as a mess after two games

But first impressions can and will lie to you. WVU isn't a big of a mess as some are claiming and Louisville may have looked competitive against ND but they are still a 4-8 football team at best.

Satterfield went first so he's considering higher on the ladder so whether Brown can measure up to someone higher on the ladder is irrelevant considering that WVU didn't have the option of getting Satterifield.

And on top of that, I'm more concerned with how the guy WVU hired does a few years down the road, not a few games down the road.

I don't know what Louisville had coming back this year but I know WVU wasn't going to be very good no matter who was coaching them.

Perception is everything and everyone's perception is different.

Louisville was considered a dumpster fire because of what happen with Jeff Brohm.
They had a lot of players quit on that team and end up transferring. One of the more active teams in the transfer portal.

I hate excuses. Excuses are for the weak. Cannot make excuses for this football team.
Dana won with QB play. WVU didn't have Top 15 talent last year but had a Top 5/10 QB and that made the difference.
If Dana was able to find a QB WVU would have won some games this year.

Neal Brown is trying to do more at WVU so he doesn't have that team.
Neal Brown knows for WV to win they have to be a complete team. Going to get punched a lot of times until that happens or WVU can regress into that team under Dana. Always going to need QB play but at times you need to be able to control and win games through other means.
I like what Neal Brown is doing but I don't know if he is the guy to be able to do it.

Look at how well K State is doing so far---brand new coach. Looks in line to keep that program going as it was.

The Holgorsen excuse is for wounded egos that proclaimed Holgorsen was horrible for 8 years and now are running and ducking for cover when they see what a "real coach" can do in his place.

In a few years there is likely to be more realignment. Real WVU fans better hope that this coach has either started coaching rather than blaming Holgorsen by then.

They had a QB and weren't that bad of a team but the situation with Bill Snyder caused issues.
They actually played WVU tough for one half and could have taken control of that game.

Gave both Texas and Iowa State a game.

Its Dana's fault that he left the cup board bare. A good recruiter is out to work at the crack of Dawn. Early bird gets the 1st worm. Dana woke up at 2-3pm every afternoon chugging a red bull trying to shake off the lingering hang over from the night before.

That doesn't get you anywhere when Dana had some of the best classes WVU ever had

It also doesn't get you anywhere when you're squandering all that talent.

How do you know he did?
He is the only coach to ever coach in the Big 12 for West Virginia and finished pretty much every year where he recruited or above every year except one.

Wasn't enough but I am not one to act like Dana was horrible because that is wrong.

Recruiting rankings are subjective. The amount of NFL players drafted isn't Wvu is 3rd in the Big 12. So obviously they are wrong. It shows how much wvu and Texas underachieve. We know you are a closet Dana lover.

Not about loving anyone or hating them. It is the facts.

WV has 16 players on active NFL rosters
TCU has 15 players

Don't know about Oklahoma State and Baylor but they are probably pretty close as well.
These are the teams that WVU are grouped with and for the most part these teams had as much talent if not more talent.

Dana left because Buckaineer kept violating his restraining order.

First, you're assuming Buck is a male. With all the histrionics, emotionality, and rank desperation of Buck's posts, it would be safer to assume the opposite.

Either way, love will make one do crazy things.

Loserville 1-1

2018 UL 2-10

20 + players rumored to be transferring mid-season under Petrino never came to fruition.

3 of UL total transfers were walk on players.

UL added Transfers as well...
Thomas Jackson from UNC 5'11 200 WR N/R
Ean Pfeifer from Vandy 6'4 300 OT 3*
Robert Hicks decided to stay at UL 6'0 237 ILB 4*
Ty Tyler from Marshall OLB 3*
TJ McCoy from Fla. 6'1 302 OC 3*
TJ Holl from Colgate ILB 6'1 230 N/R
Isaiah Hayes from Arizona S 6'0 175 3*

6 of those 7 are immediate eligible

Louisville sounds Identical to WVU issues. Quit making out something that's not there.

If Dana were here we would have the same OL and Allison would probably start because Kendall probably wouldnt have played for Holgs. We have some talent, but he never made the lines a big priority and it was set to backfire this season no matter who was coaching. Sure they were more familiar with Holgs system, but he wasnt going to get much out of this roster either.

I think despite the losses to transfer, the defense will keep playing pretty solid. Our offense gave Mizoo 21 points basically. Our D shut them down in the 2nd half and that team is no slouch on offense. Thats my lone bright spot of the game.

The MetroNews radio guys said that if there wasn’t a coaching change, the QB from Virginia Tech would of came to WVU. Said on Sunday night sports line.

--There are 16 Mountaineers who have seen their first WVU action during the 2019 season: Taijh Alston (DL), George Campbell (WR), Randy Fields Jr. (WR), Nicktroy Fortune (CB), James Gmiter (OL), Noah Guzman (S), Josh Growden (P), John Hughes (OL), Jordan Jefferson (DL), Reuben Jones (DL), Austin Kendall (QB), Kerry Martin Jr. (S), Mike O’Laughlin (TE), Sean Ryan (WR), Blaine Scott (OL) and Tykee Smith (S). A total of four of those were true freshmen.

The answer to this is simple. Petrino could recruit and develop talent but he had a team full of freshaman and sophomores and he couldnt coach them

Holgerson can draw up Xs and Os as good or better than anyone. Did he recruit and develop the talent we have now?

Vernon rarely makes statements like this..when the coaches saw what they had to work with on the offensive line..they were shocked....I would interpret that in not a good way
