Torture from 38-7 wipeout by Missouri:
I thought nothing could be worse than averaging 1.4 yards per carry against James Madison. Wrong! WVU averaged 0.9 yards per carry against Missouri.
THREE Missouri running backs each had more rushing yards than the entire WVU team (30 yards). WVU blocking is abysmal!
Missed tackles too numerous to count by the Mountaineers.
WVU offense had 171 yards for the game. In the Big 12 that will be a massacre. For that matter, so was the Missouri game.
WVU had ONE touchdown pass, with 5:31 left in the game, and THREE interceptions, one for a TD. WVU as many TD passes to the Missouri defense as it threw to the WVU offense. That won’t do.
North Carolina State (2-0) shut out Western Carolina, 41-0. And will be salivating all the way to Mountaineer Field next Saturday (noon, Fox Sports 1).
My only consolation: Thank God my alma mater didn’t play Wyoming instead of Missouri!
