While Ole Miss lost players like A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf and Jordan Ta’amu from its 2018 team, it stood to reason that the Rebels would be able to move the football.

Especially against a non-Power 5 opponent in Week 1 after an offseason’s worth of preparation in Rodriguez’s spread read-option offense. This was a Memphis defense that gave up over 5.5 yards per play in 2018.

If by fine you mean Fired by years end, I agree. Unfortunately for the Dick, the defenses at Miss State, A&M, Bama, LSU, and Auburn are better than what Memphis gave them today. Arkansas is probably the only SEC West opponent that has a worse defense than Memphis and that game is next. The Dick’s gimmick offense is too predictable & has been figured out for years.

I have been to the point where I just don’t care for years now. That said, He probably would have been making around $4 million a year now had he stayed at WVU. I sort of have pity for him now. If some G5 program is willing to take a chance on him in the future, he better jump on it and hang on for dear life. I don’t think he will ever get another P5 job ever again. He is not the young 38 yo RR that was first hired by WVU anymore.

I agree with everything except the pity. I don’t pity him or feel sorry at all. He is reaping what he has sowed. I don’t see him getting even a G5 job because he’s missed that window and he’s proven he’s not a good ingame coach and not worth the baggage he brings.

His offense is well worn and common place. He will never see the success from when it was fresh and new. The read option has been figured out. It is employed almost everywhere in football. Defenses have adjusted and it’s no surprise to anyone. Being a douche bag doesn’t help. His trajectory will continue its downward spiral if he continues his low character ways. Count on it.
