So I'm posting it so you Leftists who can't believe Blacks are supporting "white supremacist" Trump, will begin to understand what's behind his surging support among the Democrat's once most untouchable block of voters. It's not his racist ways, it's the way he's improving their lives with green $$$$$$$$$

President Donald J. Trump's policies are delivering record breaking results for African Americans.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing...-breaking-economic-results-african-americans/

excerpt:
Under President Donald J. Trump, economic opportunity is soaring and unemployment is dropping for African Americans

  • This year, African-American unemployment fell to a record low of 5.9 percent.
  • African-American employment has increased by 976,000 since President Trump’s election and stands at a record high.
  • The poverty rate for African Americans reached its lowest level on record in 2017
  • President Trump’s historic tax cut legislation included new Opportunity Zone Incentives to promote investment in economically distressed communities across the country
  • Opportunity Zones offer tax incentives for businesses to invest in economically distressed communities, making them a powerful vehicle for economic growth and job creation.
  • through job training, tax reform, and deregulation, President Donald J. Trump and his Administration are creating a better environment for minority-owned business.

You are skewing your stats a bit.....

When Obama took office, the unemployment rate for African-Americans stood at 12.7%. When Obama left office (January 2017), the unemployment rate had dropped to 7.7%.

So, 5.9% would be better?

African American employment is at record highs....it's never been this good. Leftists trying to give Obama credit for it forget that he told most Negroes some of those jobs were gone forever. "Opportunity zones" in inner cities were where Black folks signed up for food stamps which they held in record numbers before Trump came in with a better plan.

If you want to have some fun with a butt hurt Leftist DvlDog, ask one of 'em what's the Democrat plan to improve Black business ownership in inner cities and top the current record low unemployment rate among minorities?

I 100% guarantee not one of them will have an answer for you. Then you can just mock them and call them racist "White Supremacists" who don't care anything about Black people [winking]

I'm sure you're aware @DvlDog4WVU , the Left's "harping" on Obama's economic record with minorities was "all hat and no cattle" while their constant complaints about Trump being a racist is all "bark with no bite".

Trump's real record on race may surprise you
https://www.chicagotribune.com/opin...c-race-trump-economy-progress-0822-story.html

excerpt:
No one cared more about the plight of black Americans than Barack Obama — our first African-American president — who won well more than 90 percent of the black vote. But the sad paradox of Obama's presidency is that a president who was going to lift up black America economically didn't deliver. From 2009 to 2015, the incomes of black Americans fell by more than $900 per family adjusted for inflation.

...more
So far under Trump, median family incomes have risen by more than $1,000, according‎ to Sentier Research and based on Census Bureau numbers. These numbers are not broken down by race, but it's a pretty good bet that black incomes have risen with those of other races under Trump.

....still more
The same people who denounce Trump for being a racist hypocritically oppose Trump's plan for better school options for black children. I have heard many liberal commentators compare Trump to George Wallace, the late Alabama governor who defended school segregation and stood in front of the white public schools with armed guards to keep the black children out.

Now we have liberals and teachers unions figuratively standing in front of the high-quality white private schools like modern-day George Wallaces trying to keep black children out.

....there's more
Trump also wants more infrastructure spending, more energy jobs and more apprenticeship programs so our youth have access to better jobs and better training. Disproportionately, blacks and other minorities will benefit from these programs, because fewer have the financial capability to go to a four-year college.

See @WVU82 what jumps out at me at least watching that is it didn't take a huge Government program and millions of dollars for someone to get in there and help get that trash cleaned up! What's Cummings doing with all those millions of dollars his wife collects from her "non profit"?

The other thing that screams at me is that lady has NEVER seen Cummings in that district! She said when asked "I ain't never seen him around here". Telling isn't it?

Someone at the RNC ought to post campaign stickers all around that neighborhood asking "Where's Elijah"? Put 'em on some of those boarded up abandoned houses!

She also nailed it when she said the residents there have to also start pitching in to help clean up their own backyards!

Thanks for posting 82. Wonder why that honest lady wasn't given any air time on CNN?

These opportunity zones are socialism for the wealthy right? Why are tax credits and abatements enacted by republicans great policy but terrible when enacted by dems and called socialistic? This is almost exactly like the Community Reinvestment Act that you hate and blamed in part for the Great Recession (investment in lower income tracts) except banks were forced to do it.

Btw I am not complaining about these opportunity zones mind you. I think they are awesome if used appropriately. I’m simply pointing out that the government is giving away stuff (tax credits) and you applaud.

I wonder how many alt right folks on this board support the Earned Income Tax Credit? It is a dem proposal enacted by a republican potus and supported by Reagan, Bush, and Warren Buffett today.

I am calling BS. You are including campaign promises and not real policy. He reached a deal with the dems on infrastructure spending and caved when Fox News bashed and criticized him. He talks about school vouchers but has there been a single bill advanced promoting this agenda? I can’t think of any.

You only think this way because you're a Socialist and believe all revenue belongs to the Government. When you cut taxes or don't collect them, you leave the money in the hands of the producers, but how would YOU know that? You believe everything belongs to Government and doesn't happen unless Government permits it.

I did notice you had no answer to my question to @DvlDog4WVU in post #6 about what the Democrats are offering as an alternative?

Why don't you explain it to him?

Explain how a tax cut on business development and earned profits is a "give away"?

Who owns the money that's "given away", and who is that money then "given to"?

You'll really struggle with this (if you can even honestly answer) because you're a flaming Socialist.

Remember, GDP never exceeded 3% in any year Zero was in office. That's never happened before since the end of World War II! Not even under Carter. In fact, Zero had the worst economy of all modern US Presidents. Dead last.

What exactly did Zero mean when he said in the video I linked earlier in the thread that Trump couldn't produce better job results? "How is he going to negotiate a better deal"? "What's he going to do, wave a magic wand?"-Obama

Apparently he was lying, or basically incompetent. Which was it?

5.9% didn't happen in a vacuum. These are always the silliest fights. Basic economics classes need taught in high school, ffs.

It's not a fight. It's Leftists such as yourself trying to take credit for an economy none of you thought was possible, or worse, refusing to admit these Conservative policies of lower taxes and less Government regulations work better than income redistribution through conficastory taxation and Government controls over our free enterprise ecomony.

But you're a Conservative you already knew that right Coop?[eyeroll]

Hey Keyser try this one...

If Obama was certain Trump couldn't improve on his economy (see linked video in the thread) then why are his former supporters like YOU taking credit for Trump's better numbers and giving it to him?

Was he lying to you then or are you lying about him now?

The quality of the #'s is what is most important. Obama's employment numbers had people working multiple jobs to make ends meet or dropping out of the workforce all together. Trump is bring back higher paying jobs with actually benefits. That's why the idiom "there are lies, damn lies, and statistics" is a truism.
