You have a problem keeping your story straight. You stated that Trump put kids in cages/created unsafe living conditions to deter them from coming into the country. The fact that kids were already being put into cages prior to him even being a candidate predates your assumption. It was already happening and he made a comment that separation at the boarder COULD deter some.

Which came first is a game changer in this discussion.

All of these people were allowed to remain in the country, and not in custody, while awaiting a asylum hearing.

They have never been used as blanket policy before.

The policy is literally if we take their kids away, send them to the other side of the country, and keep them detained in facilities with no care, it will keep them from coming here. There are cases right bow where we deported the parents and kept the kids locked away. Cases where we didnt match who's kid it even was that we took.

This is the worst human rights violation in this country since WW2. All a complete product of the Trumo Administrations unique combination of draconianism and incompetence
