Texas Tech, the only Big 12 team in the College World Series, overcame a 3-0 deficit today, went ahead 4-3, was tied in the top of 8th at 4-4, went ahead in the bottom of the 8th, 5-4, then held on in a tense 9th to beat Arkansas, 5-4.

Arkansas had runners on first and second with nobody out, but 2 Tech relievers got 3 outs to save the victory.

Tech next meets the Michigan-Florida State loser. Michigan beat Tech in the first game of the CWS.

WVU beat Texas Tech 2 of 3 games in April.

WVU beat Texas Tech 2 of 3 games in May.

After beating Oklahoma in its Big 12 opener, WVU beat #2 seed Texas Tech, then lost to Kansas, which lost to Iowa State in the title game.

Texas Tech won the regular season. WVU was 4th. Texas was last.

The more Texas Tech advances in the College World Series, the better it looks for WVU’s resume. The Mountaineers beat the Red Raiders 5 times in 7 games this season.

WVU's baseball resume was the very first thing I thought about once I saw Texas Tech had won today.

Also, Tech will play the loser of the Michigan-FSU game, not the winner.

Living vicariously through someone else's experiences rather than being a part of the events ourselves. It requires immersing ourselves in someone else's world and emotionally or mentally making their achievements and setbacks our own.

When our lives only have meaning due to the accomplishments of others, we are leaving our happiness and meaning in the hands of someone else.

They have had a decent team all year, but like most Northern teams, they don't have the luxury of playing at home in March and April, so they have to go down South or Southern California to take their early season lumps. They have three really good starters, good defense, and a solid hitting team. Still need to win one more game though, which won't be easy, and then likely have to face the best team (Vanderbilt) in a best of three series.

What the hell are you smoking. That would be like beating Marshall then we take credit for every win they have from then on. That's not being a fan. That's being a fan of they did it means we did it.

It doesn't matter if WVU won those games or not. WVU choked on the big stage in their backyard. No excuses. Just a pure choke job.
