in my local newsrag there are 2 stories about him and that's all they are talking about on the golf channel. If it were anyone else 9 shots back would they be talked about that much?......I don't think so. Don't get me wrong...he is great but he is not the GOAT. That title belongs to either Mr Nicklaus or some guy named Jones

Yeah, he’s the GOAT. His competition is at levels never seen before.

Not that I don’t respect the Bear, Bobby, Slammin Sammy, or Hogan. Tiger has dominated at a time when some pretty great golfers can’t keep their cards.

good story about Slammin Sammy......in the 60's the WV open was held at South Hills in Parkersburg. There was a par 5 dogleg left over a creek with the green up on a hill but angled downward toward the slope. Sam hit Driver 7 iron to 3 feet PAST the hole. When he got to the green he had one of his famous temper tantrums because he had hit it to where he had a downhill eagle putt. Those were the days when he was struggling with the flat stick and right on cue he missed it......As a teenager I learned a couple of new cusswords that day

He is the publicity GOAT though, hes the reason most people pay any attention to pro golf. Say the name Brooks Koepka to the average person and see if they have a clue who he is. Unless they are hardcore PGA fans or DFS players theyll think hes a character from Mario.

It’s too difficult to compare. You also have to consider the improvements in technology- the golf balls, the clubs, the shafts, etc.
