MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University football coach Neal Brown has announced that John Hughes, a 6-4, 305-pound, sophomore offensive lineman from Carrollton, Texas, has signed a grant-in-aid and will transfer to WVU from Navarro College. Hughes will have three years of eligibility remaining to play during a four-year period.

Yes, he's a Jr College player. Youre only not immediately eligible if you transfer from one D1 FBS school to another. And even these days that's getting appealed (and winning) left and right.
