One bad season and everyone gives up on WVU BB

With the amount of JUCOs being brought in I think Huggins is building for 2020-21.

Haley will be gone...I think. Pretty sure he only has one year left of eligibility.

2020-21 is probably the year that WV is a top Big 12 team and Top 20 team nationally.

Stranger things have happened.
Might catch fire with a JUCO.
Oscar becomes a threat on the perimeter or Culver is more than a post player.
Haley continues to develop.
McCabe develops defensively
Matthews becomes a dead eye shooter.

That would be what you called conjecture as I haven't seen the team play.

I think WV could get into the NCAA Tournament.
Not saying they will a 13 win team.

Oh Gregor...I thought about using an acronym but you'd just think I was Cuyahoga. And to your point, we should wait until the Big 12 coaches vote to provide more of a feel for this team? The same ones that picked us 3rd this year? I know that nobody really knows what these new additions will turn out to be but it does provide hope where this past season there was so little. Fair?

TVZ. Oscar is a 5* McDonald's all American. Haley is already developed ask Tech. Taz is #13 on transfer list out of 100. Go take your psycho babble to the texass board.

You already have a big and neither of them are a stretch 5 so....

Playing two bigs works if one or both of the bigs can pass, play off the dribble and stretch the floor.

Production on the floor.
Culver put up great numbers.
Playing Oscar will take away from that.
Unless this guy is a 20-20 guy as a freshman you really aren't improving your team.

Oscar....
Great rebounder
Athletic
Post presence

Unrefined offensive game
Not a ball handler
Lacks a consistent shot from 20 feet

Some of you on here actually think Konate, Oscar and Culver can play on the court at the same time....

Culver obviously cannot guard the perimeter...
This was why Jaxson Hayes was considered by most to be a better player in the Big 12.

Can Oscar.
Who knows.

But you can't put two bigs on the court that can't guard the perimeter.

The development of Jermaine Haley is why I think WV can be a tournament team.

You want versatility in a basketball player.
Haley can guard the majority of the players.
Switches won't be a problem.

He is long.
Explosive first step
Can shoot.

If he plays with a lot of confidence and expands his game I think WV could be a tournament team.

Especially if Oscar can play more of a stretch 5.
Meaning he can guard on the perimeter, rebound, shoot, defend.

Similar to what Tech had with Owens.

Anyone think McBride can play. The G from Ohio.

Truthfully we need some more guards from Chicago, Baltimore, St Louis or Philly.

Jordan McCabe is a good guard but he is a pretty boy
Need a pitbull

Carter had more help on the team than the freshmen did this year. Carter had experienced guards on his teams that showed the way. These guys had nobody. So quit your bull ****.

Huggins 270 - 151 / avg 22.5 wins avg 12.5 losses

Nice to see how stats can change facts to whatever way you need to prove a point.

He might have made it closer but a loss is a loss if the other pieces of the puzzle is not there. Just because you don't like McCabe doesn't mean he will not be productive off the bench. You're a fraud. Just admit it.

No...

Guards control the flow of the game....

Great guards make a huge difference.

Coastal Carolina was punking your guards.
Someone should have gotten an elbow in the ribs

Really seemed to me Culver was the big missing hole in the CCU game. But keep twisting you almost can dance.

Big12 isn’t.a meat grinder. Allen is on the money. The additions and maybe someone late gives Huggs enough to have a quick turnaround.

Poor Greggy....

Conferences change year to year
The B1G was trash in 2017-2018 but was probably the best conference in 2018-2019.

Next year I don't think the Big 12 is going to be as difficult.
Just as long as the conference wins the games they should in OOC the conference will still get 6 in.

Probably not a meat grinder.
Should help a few teams get a 1-3 seed.
Help a few bubble teams get in because of their record.

Still have Culver and Oscar.

Just read an article about the Indiana Pacers.

They have two bigs.
Both bring a lot to the table in Myles Turner and Sabonis.
But when they are on the court together the Pacers are not as good.
Have their worse +/- out of all lineups with them it in together.

Mind you.
Sabonis and Turner bring a lot to the table.
Both have a pretty well rounded game.
