Magnificent structure built in the 1100s-1200s. Terrible loss.
...and of course dumbshit Biff has to tweet to the world his fire fighting prowess by saying they need to be using forest fire helicopters. Meanwhile fire fighters from around the world have chimed in with how stupid this idea is.

Same assclown who said we need to rake our forests to prevent forest fires because that’s how they do it in Europe. Except they don’t.

Are you saying we shouldn’t rake our forests?

Go ahead and float that proposal to our forest service.
I don’t know either way. Sounded stupid when I heard it. Even more ridiculous when I got fined for not doing it when I lived near Big Bear, Ca.

I think there are engineering issues unique to a Gothic arch structure and the age of the cathedral. It was reported that the force of the dropped water could bring the walls down.

Recent reports suggest the towers may survive.

Issues are multi-fold. The force from dropping that much water would have potentially collapsed the external walls of the structure and/or destroyed more artifacts inside. Flying tankers low over Paris would be extremely dangerous. Firefighters and bystanders would be in danger from dropping water very close to them. The time required to load and deliver a tanker would have rendered it useless.

I heard the same thing. Dropping mass quantities of water from above is not a good solution.

Do you understand the difference in dropping water onto an 800 year old structure in a densely populated area vs dropping it on a forest?

The Paris Fire Department is one of the most elite units in the world. They don't need you, or Trump, to tell them how to fight a fire.

No idea who you’re responding to but not surprised that some idjut Biff supporter thinks it’s a good idea just because he said it.

This.

When someone uses any opportunity to try to show others they “know more”, that person is usually extremely insecure and more often than not of below average intelligence. Who has the audacity to think they know more than the FD on site? A rich kid, fat butt, suit.

If he really tweeted how the fire should be fought, it’s embarrassing to me and should be all of us.

It truly doesn't matter. Trump said it, now all Trumpers must do everything they can to defend Him, because He is infallible.

Public statements by a President (although most dismiss our current one to be a big mouth baby) can impact and influence world leaders, the market, business decisions, treaties, international agreements, political opinion, public opinion, legislation, not to mention the actions of nutjobs and extremists among others.

When it’s something important that he (or his voters) passionately care about, even if I disagree with the message, I agree with his right to wield that influence. But when it’s something like this, seemingly benign to you, but has serious weight with the average Parisian, it’s best he pick his words carefully and hold back the Bullsh1t. Not to mention, the actual statement was foolish.

Despite your, and the majority of the right’s anger at society norms shifting to force more thoughtful dialogue and references, just spewing out anything you’re thinking without being cognizant of its impacts on others is not a fvcking virtue.

Neither is trolling, it’s fvcking stupid and immature, and counterproductive to a peaceful society. What you or I say are jokes in the grand scheme, what a President says certainly isn’t.

Agreed. It's His dementia.
No, he’s more like a hype guy selling a product. Reminds of people in BD, correct in the spirit but wrong on the detail. I don’t pay any attention to him on Twitter. He’s basically no different than literally everyone else on there.

I see the left believes they hold the moral high ground on the issue. That’s fvcking laughable. Liberals are no different than anyone else on Twitter and Facebook. They just vomit whatever is on their mind. It’s hilarious to see how many different ways you all can creatively show contempt and superiority complexes.

Nonsense. It’s different when you’re the fvcking President. How do you not get that? JFC
