Making a Sweet 16...
Not too difficult. Especially if you have a bunch of seniors.
Rick Barnes just did it at Tennessee.

But can Buzz Williams make deep runs at Texas A&M more times than not.
I doubt it.

You’ll be wrong again. That’s my take. Check back with ya in 5 years. I’ll be here.

It is difficult for any school to make deep runs every year.
Especially at a non basketball school.

A&M might have some highs. Sweet 16 to possible Final 4's.
They had that with Billy Kennedy. Kennedy had issues with Parkinson's. Certain people in the fanbase called him "Shakes".

But Parkinson's doesn't keep you from coaching.

Basketball is all about the players that fit your system.
Very rarely do Texas and A&M recruit the same players plus they are no longer in the same conference.

Going forward Shaka Smart is going to win or Texas is going to bring in Chris Beard.
Tubby Smith and Bobby Knight couldn't even get Tech to two consecutive Sweet 16 and a Final 4.

Don't know the team yet for Texas next year but there is a lot of like.
They are replacing Kerwin Roach with Andrew Jones. They return the other 3 guards.
Kai Jones is another player who can touch the top of the backboard. Plus he is further ahead of Jaxson Hayes at this time.

This is not even mentioning 5 star Will Baker who is a creative player at the 5.
Very few big men can pass at his level.

TVZ does a fabulous switch and bait reply. Starts one debate then does a 180 when proven less than adequate on a subject.

Kansas St and Michigan screwed me. I’m a pretender this year. Good luck in the last 6 games. Hope you’re in the money.

Got 2 of my final 4 teams in. TTU and UVA. Now need Duke and Kentucky to win and I'll have 100% final 4 pick.

I went back and forth with TT and Michigan. I was in decent shape but Michigan screwed me and I had Kansas State going to title game. So long brackets.

You should really stop using the ip verification check line. We have used that one quite a bit with our other screen names. You only show up in the threads were me and TVZ are. People are going to figure out were the same person.

Illiteracy vs. shtick - I really cannot tell anymore

It really hurt the Big XII when Kansas lost their best big man to injury and their second best player was disqualified. Otherwise the Big XII could be looking at TWO Final Four teams in a supposed “down” year.

And, let’s nit forget Texas beat both North Carolina and Purdue.

Texas and TCU have been by far the most impressive teams in the NIT.
Three of the Four NIT semifinalist deserved St John's spot
Texas didn't because they were 16-16.

Texas is doing this without their best big.
TCU would have been a Sweet 16 team if Jaylen Fisher was playing.

Still think the B1G was the top conference.
After the top 5 in the ACC I think the conference wasn't as good as many think.
They were a very top heavy Conference. Big difference between VA Tech and Florida State compared to Clemson and NC State

UNC would have had at least 3-5 more losses in the B1G or Big 12.
They weren't an elite team.

What does it look like inside a classroom in Austin? People keep asking me when I went to UT but I never did. I know more about Oakland than I do about Austin.

Michigan St and Texas Tech were the best teams Texas played all year.

I could have called it...
Michigan St didn't turn over the ball and forced Duke to score in the half court.

As great as Duke was they weren't an efficient offense in the half court.
Shot like 30% from three point distance.

Michigan St did the same thing to Texas.

Those two teams pretty much made a Top 10-15 team turn into a 16-16 team...

And you're calling it now because it's already happened. Makes it easier to look like you know.

Said it earlier in the topic before all these games were played...

There was a reason why Texas struggled after playing both teams.
The second game against Tech Texas was the most efficient offense in the Big 12 for I think 5-6 games.
Tech blew them out by 20 points and Texas scored like 50 points.
Loss every game after that.

Texas struggled because their coach sucks.

Some has to do with coaching...
No reason to loose confidence.
Matt Coleman has had that issue the last two years.
Think Shaka has something to do with it...

But none of the other teams on the schedule could do that...
Texas didn't play Virginia so I can't speak about them.

But if Texas didn't play Michigan St..
There would not have been a loss of confidence the first time .

The team that Texas regained their confidence back against was another Elite 8 team in Purdue.

That's like saying WVU is better than Texas Tech because they were the last team to beat them.

You can say what you want...
I think Haley played his *** off.
WV was a step faster than Tech. Tech was lackadaisical in the first half.
They tried to play in the second half but think WV had a 15+ point lead on them.

When Purdue came into Austin...
Carsen Edwards had something to prove.
You know how he played in the tournament.
That was how he played in Austin.
Scored 43 points on Texas and tried to carry his team. He wanted to play for Texas but Shaka Smart wasn't familiar with the players.
Plus he thought Fox who now plays for Sacramento was the reason why their AAU team was so good.

Even the illiterate know about our 100+ accounts.

It is the sincerest form of flattery so thank you bridge dweller. As for the original point of playing in the CBI versus not playing, any thoughts? It's in the past but those extra practices and games took time away that the staff could have used to show their faces at the games of juco and grad transfer targets. It's been my opinion (and probably some on this board as well) that getting 2-3 legitimate juco scorers fixes this team quicker and more soundly than those extra practices and games so that's where the resources should have gone. Huggs may end up landing all of the people he wants anyway but I just don't think the margin for error is that large and that every effort should be made to go above and beyond for these kids.
