What’s up with Culver? In trouble?
If so, I disagree with the tactic. If he is in some type of trouble then do not have him sitting on the bench. Suspend him for the game and let him sit in the stands.
We are playing poorly. Can we attribute some (or ALL) of it to a mental letdown because of the decisions (if that is why NO CULVER). Decisions seem to remind me of earlier in the season when we looked horrible. Back to immediately benching McCabe for once TO and substitute with Knapper who misses 3 after 3 after 3. I do not understand. Now we have no center and playing Harler, McCabe and Knapper with Haley and Matthews. Need Culver. Why not?

We can't make a shot, and can't defend either layups or threes. Actually, our offensive rebounding is pretty good but multiple times we have missed putbacks multiple times. Don't know what is up with Culver. Teaching him a lesson of some sort in what looks like the final game of the year. Whatever.

I have been a huge supporter of Huggs since his days as a player. Glad to see him return to WVU. I appreciate his being very candid with silly/idiotic interviews.
I was a classmate of Catlett and appreciated his success at US and, early on at WVU. As many have said over the years it appeared that GC decided to quit coaching before he official retired.
I am seriously wondering if BH is also allowing his coaching to be influenced by the years at the grind. Tonight's game sounds like a complete let down by everyone connected to the team. Cause? I have no magical answer, but the loss of one of the most stellar performers does not inflate the mental aspect of the team members. If he is injured that news may significantly contribute to the leet down. If the team is not really aware of the reason for the lack of participation we may have another stimulus for a major let down. IF the reason that Culver did not see action is something residing within the psyche of the coach I come away very disappointed. This tournament was to provide additional practice time to help the kids next year. This game is surely doing little that has any appearance of a positive experience.

Run Culver off, too. Why not. Just another ready-made excuse for a disappointing season next year.

This does not look good for next year. Getting run out of our own gym. Didn’t they want to even play this game?

Games is so boring the official have fallen asleep. Ball out of bounds no call. Elbow to the head no call. Traveling not called gives timeout. CC will be hitting shots all the way home.

When your shot isn't falling....
Do you become a minus on the court.

I would say with the WV guard that was true tonight again....

You are not going to hit your shots every night but your defense shows up every night.

Didn't watch the game but saw that Coastal Carolina's guards killed you

Its hard to imagine scoring 91 points and still losing to anyone, let alone Coastal Carolina. It was their night. They couldnt miss.

That was the case all year....

Most teams have a weakness.
WV's weakness this year were quick guards that could shoot and create.

Huggins rode with what he had and made the most of it.
I think WV is set up well next year.
You are elite inside if your 5 star is legit
Great on the wings
If you can get a JUCO guard or two and McCabe or Knapper can develop you can be average of better in the backcourt.

Neither could stay in front of quicker guards this year.

It will be interesting to see how Caridi, Howe, and Adrian try to spin this loss on the players on their next podcast. They always do instead of placing any blame upon the coaching staff.

So, the coaching staff gave up 109 points on the court? Got it. Let me know what your career record is and I'll submit your application for a coaching position. Last time I checked, sometimes the other team can't miss, and the defenders don't guard well enough.........but yeah, "my coach sucks" is a great way to disguise last night.

Coaches don't lose games. They only win them. Especially this one.

the staff put this group of players together. they are ultimately responsible.
