McCabe is to slow. Can't play defense and can't score. He is a D II player.

If anything Beetle may get pushed out. Knapper was already getting better. McCabe got to play 2 games in a row with nobody else to threaten his minutes with Knapper and Beetle out.
McCabe got better by getting minutes all by himself last 2 games. Huggs screwed him and Knapper over all year. That’s on Huggs.
Knapper would have scored 40 points tonight against TCU in 3 overtime’s and 55 minutes. Knapper scores 25 points in regulation in limited minutes sharing with Beetle and McCabe. Boom!

Knapper might have scored 50 points tonight in 55 minutes and 3 overtime’s if he got all the minutes the last 2 games. Knapper needs to play 2 games and not share minutes. He would step up bigtime with the confidence and not looking over his shoulder. Huggs screwed both guards up all year.

McCabe needs to play well the next couple games too. We will need Knapper back soon. It’s a shame cause Knapper was really improving as well. He could have used these minutes. Both will be back next year. That’s obvious. Huggs was going to start Knapper rest of year until neck sprain. That’s because he was stepping up. He will be very good the next 3 years.
In the long run Knapper will be the guy. He is more athletic, quicker and can defend better. He just needs reps, minutes, experience and confidence. If anything we will end up with 2 point guards. McCabe needs to show it the next couple games. He hasn’t had to look over his shoulder. Knapper never got a chance like that to play all the minutes and get comfortable.
