It's being reported that the product was offered and took the offensive coordinator position at Ole Miss. Not too bad for his first job back.

Thats not a bad place to start a personal rebuild. You put some strong offenses that burn the SEC West and you'll be good.

This never seems to apply to the crybabies who get mad about Rich Rod taking a better job at Michigan during the time and accuse him of sabotaging games. They still can't get over it, lol

It’s not that for me... I could care less that he took another job I don’t like what he represents as a human being... and not all coaches are like that as people have suggested in earlier posts... Dabo Sweeney is a good man and 2nd best coach in in college football

That he took the job at Michigan? It had more to do with Ed pastilong than Michigan or he’d have went to Alabama the year before but he felt lied to about something. I’m not going to beg a coach to want to be a Mountaineer if they don’t want to be....

They would cease being until he started having success again. Winning cures all.
No history of winning after his disrespect of WVU and the State of WV. Failed at Michigan where there is unlimited opportunity to win. Then failed at Arizona. Credit Pat white and Steve Slaton for the fleeting success he had in Morgantown. He is so arrogant as to believe it was because of HIM--Not so. He folded against an inferior PITT team and then his obsession with fame and fortune while torching all that was WVU and WV. He is scum. Nothing more needs to be said. Only scum acts as he did in destroying records, making insane accusations, etc. on his way to Michigan. He cannot fall far enough and fast enough to compensate for his immature, childish actions let alone his reputation for grossly immature behavior. Why would anyone with a shred of decency and loyalty to WVU or the State want to have any association with such a one as this?

Fast Eddie Pasthisprime nearly ruined the WVU AD's office. Gomer, Jockitch, and the Marshall series via Manchin are prime examples

He’s the reason Jimbo isn’t here if those rumors are true, and he is the reason rich left. It doesn’t change how I feel about Rich because I feel coaches should help mold who a kid becomes and he is a terrible role model.

Rita will get a new set of bolt-ons with this move, but have they perfected head transplants? She was looking rough the last time I saw her. No doubt caused by the loss of sleep due to all the death threats she and Rich have received over the past eleven years.

I don't think he's going to land a HC position again. I get him going to Michigan. The handling of the situation should have been better. He wanted FSU but when they named a HCIW, he was looking.
What I never figure out is what more could be have wanted. He was a hero in his home state, making good money, winning. I know until they bound and gagged me and threw me out, I would have stayed. But he really screwed up after WVU in many ways.

I actually know Ed personally. Rich wasnt down with the Joe Manchin thing at all, and when it got to the point where that situation behind the scenes got ugly, Rich Rod left. He wasnt happy with Ed or Joe when he left. He really didnt want to get caught up in politics, I dont think he actually wanted to endorse Manchin or even be involved with that situation, and I know for a fact he didnt want the Marshall games to happen. Rich Rod wanted to coach and focus on building 'his' program the way he saw fit. Too much outside influence from the good ol boy network, and Ed wasnt assertive enough to stop it. It got out of control. The good ol boy network was more to blame than anything else in RR leaving WVU. He was torn in too many directions coming back to his home state.

So I wonder how many people here who say they wouldn’t have RRod back because he is a terrible role model and immature/unsatisfactory behavior voted for and still support Donald Trump.

Molding 18-22 year old kids is different than dealing with foreign policy, I don’t like his tantrums but coaches have a direct impact on molding kids lives because they are around them personally more than they own family- it was him or Hillary personally I’m still waiting for Condi Rice to run.

No need to mold kids. They are suppose to win football games.

Thats what parents and family are for...coaches are for winning football games.

With the election, we had a choice, albeit not much of one. Maybe saying we have a choice between RR and somebody like, say Bobby Petrino would be a fair comparison?
