I’d get the gov’t open on the 2nd of Jan - no need to give Stupid Pelosi an easy W.

He could have done that a week or so ago. He didn't and now He thinks America will blame the Democrats.
This should get interesting as Dems don't seem to be anywhere near compromising. I think Dems have the slight advantage.

Don’t think anyone wins this fight. Neither side will compromise. Some event is going to have to drive the voters to elect enough like minded representatives to fix the problems. I just hope it isn’t another 911 that wakes up our sleeping apathetic citizens.

I believe he said he's going to shut the border down until he gets his wall...so I don't see him giving in any time soon.

He's already (partially) shut the gov't down but he won't stop commerce and shut the southern border down.

Meh. There will be a compromise on price or wording. ie 1.6 bn for wall or 2.5 for border security. Maybe they'll even go back to the agreement Trump turned down - DACA for funding.

Just don’t see the DACA option resurfacing. The Republicans in the Freedom Caucus could not face reality that all these people are not going to be deported & their children are citizens that will vote. Trump himself moved the goalposts on this plan when he added chain migration and the lottery to to deal.

Just don’t think the politicians want to solve it.

In January, the Freedom Caucus is pretty much irrelevant.

A f'n men. Too much money and votes to be had by keeping the wound open and gaping.

I don’t see how he can back down from this and make it look like he won. Same with tariffs.

Really, so you are betting on Trump the fighter. What about Trump the compulsive? The one that is drawing down our forces in Syria.

And, why are they not to blame? In the frequent past they have universally supported exactly what Trump wants to build but now they have become just mere politicians with no desire to do what is right for the American citizen they swear an oath to support and protect. So many of those now considered 'leaders' of the Democrat party are demonstrating what lying, two faced worthless chunks of rotting flesh they really are.
