Damn Texas screwed up what could have been a perfect Friday night for the Big 12.

Oklahoma beat Northwestern, 76-69, to go 11-1 and put the Big 10 in its place.

Baylor, a 7-4 team, took down Oregon, 57-47, to put the Pac-12 in its place.

Oklahoma State is only 5-6 but won, 82-73. Sure it was only 4-8 Central Arkansas, but a W looks better on a resume than an L, even for a team battling WVU for the bottom of the Big 12.

Iowa State went to 10-2 by blowing out poor Eastern Illinois, 101-53.

And then there are those damn Longhorns. Give ‘em a horns-down dissing. Texas lost, 71-65, to 9-3 Providence. The Friars are a good team. But, still, Longhorns, why couldn’t you hook ‘em?

Hopefully WVU will do better than that against visiting Jacksonville State at noon Saturday.

And Kansas State against Vanderbilt, Kansas at Arizona State and TCU against Charlotte.

If the Big 12 goes 8-1 in 2 days I don’t want those Texas trolls coming on this board and trash-talking. Really, Longhorns, the only Big 12 loser in 9 games over 2 days?

Now if Kansas State beats Vanderbilt, Kansas beats Arizona State and TCU beats Charlotte it will be a perfect weekend . . . except for Texas with its horns-down result.

If the Longhorns are the only losers in 9 games by Big 12 teams against non-conference opponents, maybe Texas fans should stop trolling where the big boys live.

Pricing in the % lifeboat LOL. Big12 is an excellent conference. Basically as good as any but better than only PAC12. Just like Big Ten, ACC and SEC. Only a Big12 homer sees the one trick pony Big12 better than the others haha. I’m assuming you went to bed at 6:30 after dinner and caught the score during a potty run at 11pm.

Kansas at full strength is a tough out.
Azubuike is not playing right now.

One loss or even one win doesn't change the narrative around a team.

The simple fact that no one wins the Big12 besides Kansas tells everyone except for the homers that the Big12 can’t be great and above all overs. Always one top 6 team(guess which one homers) and 3 or 4 good teams that are top 25. It’s really fairly evident to non homers.

People pay attention to sports more closely when they don't have much else to do.
Attendance and ratings prove this to be true.
The Midwest and South is where college sports are more popular.

Every city has its issues.
Pittsburgh was once a great city but has seen better days.
Maybe not as much as the other Rust Belt cities but nevertheless some things will need to change for Pittsburgh to be considered a city with a bright future.

But I am sure in May and June there is an energy there very much like Chicago.
I have always said if you want to see a city come alive visit Chicago when it warms up.
Believe Pittsburgh is probably similar.
