You can never really tell how good a class is until they have been on campus for a couple of years etc...but is it concerning to you that no high school quarterbacks are on the list?

It is all subjective...

Glass half empty or half full.

WV will have two scholarship QBs at least next year so I don't think it is a concern.

But like I said there are fans of every school upset and happy.
Just matters if you want to dwell in the negative.

Two scholarship QBs is one sack away from a disaster. Don't understand how this HC has an issue with this. Not dwelling in your negative just looking at reality.

Actually two severe injuries during the same time.

A true freshman QB isn't helping.
You are screwed either way.
Why waste a scholarship?

From all reports WV is interested in a possible grad transfer..
Especially if Allison doesn't look ready in Orlando.

You play the percentages.
Everyone already knows DH is a gambler

Yeah that is the right strategy if you want to be mediocre forever. There is no logic to DH recruiting at the moment. Very light on defense. No QBs. But I know...give him another eight years to get his program and then look out!

And btw FakeTexasDude...how would you know this ...."Everyone already knows." That is the kind of blanket statement only someone clueless would make.

Wrong...
You attempt to use anything to fit your narrative.

At the very least you have to respect DH's ability to take chances.
He doesn't shy away from making risky decisions.

In anything...People who take risk have success
and people who play in safe sit on the sidelines.

At the end of this year DH was win it all or go home.
Nothing mediocre about some of his coaching decisions.

So you must continually sit on the sidelines...if you have ever even been on the sidelines. Boo! lol

Generic troll...

What Dana did goes back to DKR who was not mediocre at all.
In 1964 Texas had a long winning streak and was ranked #1 in the country.
Arkansas was undefeated and a Top 5 team.
Texas came back from a 14-0 deficit and scored two TDs.
They went for two and failed.

After that game DKR had a 2 point conversion in his hip pocket every time he played Arkansas

Guess what.
In 1969 for the Game of the Century in front of the POTUS and the largest television audience in history to watch a CFB game Texas was down 14-0 again and scored two TDs.
The second time his two point conversion worked because before exiting the bus in Fayetteville he made sure James Street knew the play if it came up.

Will Grier already knew the play against Texas because DH made sure of that.

That is called great coaching.

Actually, anything after the starting QB in a Holgorsen offense is a sack away from disaster.

I'm more concerned about the quality of the quarterback than the year he's in.

One would think that with the quality of QB's Holgorsen has produced (Smith, Grier) and playing in the non-defense B12 top ranked QB's would be virtually knocking down the door to get in.

That they aren't, either as incoming freshmen or transfers, is of major concern and one has to wonder why?

Because Jack Allison will be the starter for the next 2 years.
Unless of course he is not the guy and they need a grad transfer but I doubt it.

Allison is a big time arm at QB.

Six QBs are ONLY 6 sacks away from the same, or worse, disaster. So, what does all you have said really mean? My assessment---not a whole lot. Just more, seemingly uninformed, nonsensical rhetoric. o I wish we had multiple back ups at ALL positions, including QB, of course, but that is totally unreasonable and may only exist occasionally at one or two programs.

Who won't know the system and will once again be a stop gap. For xxxxxxx sake just recruit a high school QB and coach him up.

Really difficult to imaging spending any money gathering information related to and watching games of (and I am guessing that you spend a significant sum annually doing so) a team and program the you, when honest with yourself, do not particularly like nor really support. Maybe some are willing to toss money around so as to provide an outlet for general, personal unhappiness and a way of reaching some plateau that provides some inner, personal satisfaction. Really a sad state of despair and a profound need to attack/destroy something you might even claim to adore so as to gain a feeling of greater power and might. Wow, signs of a real sick soul.

Nothing wrong with transfers but you need a good freshman every year as well.

Aren't all QBs stopgaps in college.
Very few are 4 year starters let alone 3.

You live in absolutes....
WV recruited a HS QB the previous year.
Probably will recruit the one next year.

But according to you WV doesn't recruit high schools QBs...

They gave out 6 offers this year.

I guess DH didn't think any other QB deserved an offer.

Holgorsen said they'll have someone in for summer. I think you'll see a grad transfer.

WV should be on this kid.
He is a winner. Played WR in HS for a year because Darnold was the starter.

Think he is SC's best QB but....
Kliff Kingsbury is going to find out. The coaches are told who to play QB at USC...

He will probably transfer out soon.

Dana purposely doesn’t want a QB cause he wants his son to be 3rd QB. It’s obvious. Connor Neal should have been offered. Tyson Bagent?

Dana has repeatedly said that finding a QB for this class is of the upmost importance. He's gone after some great prospects, but they found other programs more appealing. He is searching JCs and the transfer list now.

Back story.

This guy is pretty much the handler for the top player coming out of HS next year.
Relationships with recruits and their families are built early and often. NSD is a culmination of two to three years of work.

I will ask you again...how do you, personally, know this? Oh...the Googler...strikes again!

Because this kid's recruitment has become front page news.
Him and a trainer with a good name from Houston made sure the snakes didn't take control of the kid's recruitment.
Twitter Drama of where this kid will show up during the year was common so his big bro pretty much stepped up.
