and there's being completely dejected. That's what the last 24 hours have been for WVU athletics. Literally nothing to be optimistic for. This period is low. ******* low. No positives can be gleaned from the anything in WVU athletics at the moment. Nothing but profound disappointment. Funny thing is, those who ***** about Holgs defend Huggs to the death. Those who defend Huggs dump on Holgs. The honest answer here is both are complete **** atm. No way around it.

Want me to be more clear? The basketball team is in complete shambles. The football team lives and dies by the the attitude of the staff...which is dead. Tell me, what is there to be excited for?

Huggs recruits badly all too often. Oscar came but other than that Huggs recruits pretty bad too often. What the hell did he see in Wes Harris? He's terrible. Doomes is also D2. Why did he recruit him?

13-9 has taught me to put things into perspective. The sun will come up tomorrow....babies will be born....never again will I let a college football game make me feel that bad. This one included. And if the Sooners stomp a mud puddle in our asses then it is what it is

We're on the same page, man. It is what is what is.

Just keep telling yourself that as long as Mr. Medicore is around, this program will crap its pants a few times a year (like today) and always get worse as the season goes along. Happens every year. Nothing to be surprised by here, folks. It's going to happen next year, too. And ...

This loss hurt. There is enough blame to go around on both sides of the ball. But as bad as it seems, we still have a chance to win the conference championship. The odds are against us but we have beat the odds and OU before when no one gave us a chance. Call me what you will, but I am a Mountaineer fan and this team has given us a great ride this year and I will not give up on them now. So, yes we have a shot at beating the Sooners and playing for the B12 title. We still control our destiny in that regard. The season isn't over yet. Let's go Mountaineers!!!

What makes you think we have the same coaching staff next year?
He will fire Gibby and Spav will get the head coaching job at Tulsa. Built in excuse of new coordinators when we go back to winning six or seven next season. There is always an excuse for Dana being an average head coach.

Obviously you guys haven't been WVU football and basketball fans for very long...I am used to this disappointment and let down. It has taken 36 years or so for it to allow me to mellow. I am numb to it anymore...

I also accepted reality with WVU over the years. 88 and 93 were special and true teams, at the time Don was hungry as a coach. The biggest knock I have on Holgs is the lack of intensity he influences a team with. I really expected us to come out breathing fire. We left a lot of points off the scoreboard in the first half. We should have had 41 at the half. The second half would have been different. There was enough missed opportunity in the first half to set up a second half flop like last night. But the fact that year in year out we’re going to have great and awful games, is just typical WVU with some years being exceptionally great.
What’s always perplexed me was who were we going to beat and who was the team we get way outplayed by that catches you by surprise. It’s been the WVU way for as long as I can remember. So be it . WVU fan forever. Just want to see that one team put together a championship year.

I’m right there with you! After the 13-9 loss, I concluded that WVU would NEVER win a national title in football or any other major sport like basketball or soccer. We are the Almost State. We can get close but can never win it all.
