After consulting with my good friend, we decided to sell our Carolina/Clemson tickets and use the money to make our first trip to Morgantown for the OU game. To be quite honest, the thought had been talked about all season after you guys came and put on a show in Charlotte.

So, I need my "have to knows" from you guys. We bought a gold parking pass for the game through the school and bought upper sideline tickets about 10 rows up. Any notable pregame spots, traditions, bars with cheap shots, etc, that a newcomer should know about? Looking forward to hearing Country Roads for the first time. Good luck against Okie State this weekend.

Go to the Blue Lot adjacent to the stadium and you'll get invited to tailgates. If you want to hasten your invitations, just yell "Eat **** Pitt" a couple of times.

Crocketts in Star City, Mario's Fish Bowl on Richwood Ave (NOT the new one in Suncrest) and for a real throwback Gene's on Wilson Ave in South Park.

Keglers is a great spot too a lot of Huge TV's and you can drink all day and even bowl if you feel froggy. But Crockets has the best Wings IMO.

Tell folks your story in the Blue Lot and you'll get mad respect. I'd wear you're USC gear, too for extra props. My strategy would be to have a good dinner and drinks somewhere and place emphasis on game day/tailgating experience (assuming your aren't of Friday night college bar age) in the Blue Lot. If possible, take the PRT in from downtown. Really is a unique Morgantown experience.

All of those I can agree with as a Morgantown native. For your pre-game, 3-4 hours before, go to Keglers near the stadium then take your game parking spot a couple hours before the game. As mentioned, save time to walk through the Blue Lot on your way into the stadium. Don't miss the band pre-game show. The aforementioned locals spots should be done early in the day and the day before the game.

The gold lot is so far away. If I were you I'd park in a private lot on Don Nehlen Blvd across from the light blue lot. It may cost $40 but it will be cold and you will want to be in the thick of the crowd but be able to go warm up occasionally in your car. It will be COLD. The blue lot is the most crowded but it is worth while to walk through. And tell people that your Will Grier's cousin or something and you won't need food or drink. Not sure where you're staying but rooms are expensive and there is a two night minimum. I would hit High Street downtown if you like a younger crowd.
