Common knowledge that Obama didnt like the press. The difference is he didnt decide to make an entire campaign over delegitimizing the first amendment for his own political gain and as a way to negate shortcomings. To be a President you have to have an outsized ego....but clinical narcissism is a totally different animal.

Why does this guy still keep linking weird sources of someone that has been out of power for 2 years? Focus on the CURRENT president and congress. Obama is yesterday and has largely stayed out of politics other than the obligatory election month stump speeches. Get some new material. Lame.
It might have something to do with the thread being about Obamas rally today. Then again it is hard to tell because my focus is stuck in my lifetime.
They should have covered him honestly and without bias. They didn’t and they don’t, and they step their game up everyday. It’s not a fight they can win unless they just stop covering the President. He owns them and he exposes their bias and corruption and I love every second of it.
Prager has an interesting observation that Trump is the left’s nemesis personified. He doesn’t fear them and their identity politic assaults. He refuses to apologize, be beholden to their approval, or accept their construct of acceptability. They’re systematically destroying the 4th estate before our eyes. Watch any of the networks, they’re all openly politicking. It’s not even subtle.

I thought Trump was racist long before he ran for office. When he won, I actually thought he had changed in that regard. Now I’m not so sure. Hearing people that worked close with him call him out for it, it’s hard to deny it.
But all of that is irrelevant, imo. Trump’s character has been illuminated to me in many other ways in the past.....racist or not......doesn’t matter, imo, he simply can’t be trusted to care about anything other than his own fvcking brand.
The thing about the right that makes me crazy is the absolute judgement. I’ve spent my adult life listening to the right. I hear things about people’s “hands being out”, “bootstraps”, tightening the screws - they always need more tightening on criminals, on other nations. The one thing I’ve always hear that made sense and seemed absolute truth was about fiscal responsibility and market principles. Yet I’ve watched the right sell out on both fiscal responsibility and unfettered market principles.
As far as the other approaches to policy, I don’t agree with them, but respect them as being genuinely intended for the good of the nation.
I don’t think those on the right are any less American than me, but I think believing in absolutism is less American than being open to change and difference.
