We should be playing sPitt, Sandusky State, VA Tech, Maryland, Syracuse or even Moo U.

Maybe if their coach croakes on the sideline it would be interesting.
The game is not even going to sellout and we are a Top 10 team.

Nothing to be excited about. The Big 12-2 is killing our football program.
We haven't won yet and we will not win until there is excitement back into the stands.

I was excited about watching WVU play Youngstown.

I'm more excited about seeking what the wiley fox on the other sidelines is up to.

If you can't get excited about WVU football you should be a Pitt fan. No trouble getting a seat for all its home games.

Sure, while I would thoroughly enjoy some of the previous Big East and/or regional matchups, the first Big 12 conference game in which West Virginia is a championship contender is exciting. Plus, an ill-planned bye week was difficult to bear.

Boring? You've got to be kidding! There's nothing more glorious than seeing 4 WVU receivers streaking downfield, or cutting toward the middle, and Will Grier finding the open man and throwing a strike within 3 seconds. It brings tears of glory to my eyes every time I see it. And I'm on my way to Mountaineer Field to enjoy WVU out-foxing that wily ol' fox on the other sidelines that I don't trust at all. Such a gentleman and a great teacher of young men, Bill Snyder. This will be a litmus test for WVU since K-State this year is the median Big 12 team. Half the teams in the Big 12 are better, half are worse than K-State, it seems. Tee up the damn ball! I'm ready!

actually we should be playing games against teams in our region...syracuse as an example. not going to happen but much neater to be able to drive to games etc. who can get excited about kansas st, kansas, iowa st, texas tech? when the sports channels collapse under the weight of paying way too much for a mediocre football model then syracuse will look pretty good.

The only major downside is travel times, but that hurts football much less than basketball and baseball who play quite a few more games and travel a lot more by default.

Big XII is just fine. Those teams we used to play sold us down the road. I very much enjoy watching The Mountaineers play Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, KSU, Texas and any Big XII team.

We will get to see a few of the old opponents in OCC games. That good enough.

In baseball you play weekend series and then you play OOC midweek games.

The schedule is similar to football except you play 3 games instead of one.

WV has the issue of scheduling good midweek games unlike the Texas schools.
I can shake a stick in Texas and knock out 15-20 good baseball schools
