I think he showed some maturity and improvement today compared to last year. Some nice new wrinkles. Adapted to personnel. Using the TEs. The misdirection with the motion and also the fly sweep. The jumbo package with H Back (thimons) in short yardage.

Only thing I would've done different... I would've passed one more down their throat before running clock. I thought it was too early.
? We threw a TD pass with 2 min left. We also were passing from inside our own 5 witch 6 minutes left.
Well he did get clocked pretty good. hard not to fumble getting your bell rung like that. But they did not score off the TO.
not to thrilled with the end around with Bush down near the goal. Odds of that play working in tight space not good. however if it had worked I would not be posting. announcers were skeptical also. g
Trying to catch them over pursuing. Problem is that’s the only play Bush runs. When he trots on the field the defense has to expect it.
With about 30 sec. left in 1st quarter it was an ideal time to go to the TE. They had 8 in the box rushing and we try to go down field. Will runs around and hits Bush with a comebacker short of the mark. I'm thinking delay the TE and hit him crossing over the middle. All in all one of Jake's better called games.
Spav later did call a te delay to Wesco out of a 2 TE set. It was on Wesco’s first catch I think.

Overall he did pretty well. No foolish plays that could risk injuries to our skill positions. I'll take it...
