You gave us more of a run than I thought you would, great game! Good luck the rest of the season.
I was surprised how good your defense was. I thought we would at least put 52 on you. UT will not face a better offense this year.
That is not totally accurate.
Missouri and WV are pretty close.
Mizzou was better last year but they have a new OC.
UT is short of numbers and their head coach panicked a bit after they got down three TD's. At least that's the way it looked to me.
UT had a good game plan going in, but it fell apart in the 3rd quarter as WVU's passing game got in high gear. After that UT had to improvise on both sides of the ball and ST's. I thought their use of the new "fair catch" rule on kick-off's when the game was slipping away was a brilliant way to improve their previously poor field position and try to keep it close. They simply didn't have the gas left in the tank to benefit from them.
If WVU's offense hadn't been a bit out of sync the first half, that would have been at least a forty point loss. Those young UT DB's looked lost. They'll learn as they know what's going on. It wasn't the best kind of offense to send them out against in a neutral field opener. They'll improve, but it might be a rough year against pass happy teams on the schedule.
UT is having a good recruiting year. They might want to consider a few quality JC guys to give them some ready to go bodies on the defensive side.

Grier should give a lot of teams fits this season with his radar passing. Some misses in 1st half (it's the opener), but honed in in the 3rd quarter. Five TD passes against anyone is nothing to shrug off. Amazing!
Tennessee players were undersized for an SEC team. Their lack of depth is also very apparent. And they only had a few quality skill players. If they were in the Big 12 they'd beat Kansas but that's it. They can probably beat their three remaining out of conference opponents because they play ETSU, UTEP and Charlotte but I doubt they finish the season with a winning record. I hope that beating them doesn't give us false hope. we only have two more games on our schedule that are as bad or worse than Tennessee.
You are wrong my friend. We play GA and Alabama. Both those teams will beat WV. TN will have to play those teams. So yes you are wrong.
They may be better teams but their offenses are not better. So perhaps you are wrong my friend.
Louisville would disagree with you about Alabama offense and defense for that matter.
