Would enjoy very much to see WVU play USC and then dismantle them

Been on one of their message boards the past 2 weeks on and off.
Their fanbase thinks a freshman QB they have is already better than Darnold

They may not survive after Herman and the Horns go in dry on them.

Last year was a difficult situation
A good portion of UT's roster comes from SE Texas. They had their minds elsewhere for the first couple of practices before the game
Most of the fall camp last year Herman was instilling his culture at UT

I think they underestimated Maryland's athletic ability.
Maryland has some dogs and they still do.

This year UT is a totally different animal.
Everyone who has watched their 30 minute window during practice says this.

Should be a fun game. Maryland could win but I think Texas' defense dominates them.

Probably a 38-10 game.

Maryland sounds soft.

Their coach should have made them walk around in pink panties.

They don't even want to train. They are the polar opposite of Texas.
They should forfeit the game because some of their players are going to get hurt.

Truth is Maryland needed a culture change and with the money Kevin Plank is giving Maryland DJ Durkin was under pressure.

The injuries suffered last year are a direct cause of a horrible strength and conditioning program

At the least Rick Court should be fired by putting the health of these players at risk.

Durkin should be a team decision.
If the team wants him gone he should be

The tactics were a little over the top and I can say this as someone who has witnessed football at both the high school and college level.

Durkin allowed it to happen. Durkin should be gone.

Players and other sources close to the team said Durkin and Court were aligned in all elements surrounding workouts and strength training.

"They're joined at the hip," one source said. "They're the same. They use the same language and the same classification."

Added a current player: "They usually target and pick a couple people they think are soft and go after them. ... [Durkin and Court] feed off of each other. I would say Court is as much responsible for the culture as Durkin."

A former staff member said Court is Durkin's "confidant."

Last year when all their injuries happened I blamed Durkin for putting way too much pressure on the Texas game.
Like redlining a performance engine as soon as you start.

I see the reason now and that is a substandard strength and conditioning program.

Maryland is soft. Texas was as well when Herman took over but Yancy McKnight is a god to players at UT because how much he has helped them.

You have to do things in the correct manner because it is a health and safety issue.

No more Junction Boy Football for the collective.
You have to get players as an individual to want to test the limits of their body.

Football is as much a mental game as a strength game. Talent added to both makes a good team a great team.

They have the talent. I saw that last year.
Was surprise by it actually. The more I investigated into DMV football I saw why.
Always knew it as a basketball region. Home of Carmelo and KD but a lot of their great athletes play FB as well.

Durkin is finished. All the big papers in the region are calling for his head.
The Washington Post being the latest.


I wouldn't be surprise if Maryland hires a big name coach.
I actually told their fans on one of their message boards they should be competing with Penn St and Ohio St.

That made their day because they truly believe they have the resources to win the B1G.
