I wonder if the President can now order anything via tweet, just for effect? A pardon? An investigation of an individual or business? A tariff? A nuclear strike?

Or do we just take the President’s tweets aaas just extemporaneous?

Sessions will ignore his tweet, so take it for whatever you want.

And not one dealing with Trump colluding with the Russians.
Yet. May be, may not be. His “lawyer” is already trying the case in public though. I can’t imagine Mueller charging him with anything though. Let the report and Congress do the work. Surprised so many people are upset with criminals going to jail.

I believe The Hill has a story on it recently. He was investigated and they dropped it, this was long before he was ever with Trump.

So you are saying trump knowingly picked a tax evader, a money launderer and someone who worked for the Russians as his campaign manager?

Did the FBI share their investigation of this with the President prior to his hiring? I don’t know. Seems like a good question to ask Mueller and Rod Rosenstein.

You just said it was common knowledge. So no need for the FBI to share information.

Would you like to change your story now?

As in since the story broke dunski. Good lord.

No.

This is your post.

So if you're sticking to this story, then you admit trump picked a tax evader, a money launderer and someone who worked for Russia as his campaign manager.

I admit that according to the stories as published, Manafort had previously been investigated for the offenses he is currently standing trial for. And further, these offenses were discovered while under the previous investigation, and the FBI chose not to indict him. The original investigation occurred long before he was asociated with Trump’s campaign. The articles which broke this story were a month or so ago. Relative to what Trump knew or didn’t know upon Manafort’s hiring, I’d imagine Mueller would like to ask the President that himself. I’m sure that if Mueller builds a strong enough case to warrant discussion, he’ll get that chance. He doesn’t have it at this point. Failing that, I imagine Mueller was reallllllllly wanting Manafort to tell him all about it, but Manafort has told Mueller to go screw.

A campaign chairman for a POTUS run isn’t vetted anymore?
Is that common background check information? That you were the subject of an investigation? I don’t know. I don’t believe I’ve ever been under criminal investigation.

I admittedly haven’t read the story, but Rosenstein and the DEEPSTATE knew of Manafort’s recent bank fraud years ago? I somehow doubt that. If the claim is they knew about his FARA violations previously and didn’t file, I could see that. Those are piled on to his other charges as a negotiating tactic. It’s Fed Prosecutor 101.

Let’s be clear, I’m not saying he’s innocent. I’ve actually never said that and agreed he was on the likely to be indicted list when this farce became public a year and a half ago.

Right I get that. Just not buying that all of these charges were investigated already. The bank fraud, if I remember correctly, stems from what he did in 2015 and 2016. Seems silly for Trumpers to defend this clown.

As long as similar charges are filed against Podesta in SDNY, I'm good with it.

Yea, I’m fine with this. I was joint pointing out what was reported. And you may be right about timings and I may be wrong about the specifics.

I don’t think you are wrong, I think your source is purposely misleading.

He commit bank fraud too?

Would be an opportune time to put some teeth into FARA tho. I’m in for that.
If they go after FARA, they’re going to have to build some new jails in DC. They don’t have enough room.

Agreed, but I don’t see the harm in sending a few high profile messages to try and persuade greater future compliance.
