The segment of tape released last night was a so-what for me. For whatever it's worth, there's no doubt in my mind that he had an affair with Karen McDougle. He has repeatedly denied the affair. If the tape proves he lied about it, what new information did we gain? Campaign finance violations? Not good, but that doesn't get me revved up. Relevant question to me is whether the Cohen tapes, or the Cohen documents, shed light on a relationship between Russia and Trump.

The biggest issue is it negates the attorney-client privilege between Cohen and trump since the two of them conspired to make an illegal campaign payment. It now frees up Cohen to make statements about what happened without violating attorney-client privilege. (I understand you are an attorney and could probably speak more intelligently to this issue than me.) In the big scheme of things, is a campaign finance violation a big deal? Probably not, but conspiracy could be and it will be another count to add to a potentially long list.
