Europeans agree on lowering industrial tariffs. The European Union delegation meeting with President Donald Trump Wednesday agreed to some concessions in an effort to avoid a trade war with the U.S., according to a European official in the room.
The official said European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker and his top trade official Cecilia Malmström agreed to work with the U.S. administration to lower industrial tariffs on both sides, increase LNG exports and soy beans to Europe, and align regulatory standards to allow for medical devices to have better market access in Europe, the official said.

Why do liberals think that we should kowtow to all these other countries that have an economy about 10% of our GDP. We have economic and military clout. Use it to our advantage but not to completely dominate some other country

This is why, because this is what they are as well as the countries they sympathize with.

But it's not an actual deal.

Thanks.

At the conclusion or WWII, European and other countries were broke and plants were destroyed by bombs. As a way to resurrect those countries and their economies, US provided lower interest to assist those countries to rebuild plant and equipment. To stimulate trade, those countries were given favorable terms to grow their export business. These were two items, among others, that were extended to get those friendly countries back onto their feet. After 60 years, those countries have taken advantage of the stimulus. Mr Trump looked at the deficit trade balances and thought it was time to remove those advantages.

It was time to adjust all that stuff 30 years ago.
Damned sure. Just needed someone with balls. Manufacturers and steel industry said they could not compete with the advantages given to world after war. EU and other countries were rebuilding with 1-2% loans. US had to pay 7-8% to remodel with greatly improved machinery. The steel industry screamed to no avail. US used antiquated equipment or watch Japan get 5% advantage in long term borrowing. EU advantage should have ceased when they no longer needed the advantage to compete.
