She responded to that. That wealthy person's house was a 3br 1 ba paid for by a union worker and a house cleaner. She was born in the Bronx, but they moved for better schools. There's plenty I don't like about her politics, but let's be honest about things.

She beat him largely because he thought he was unbeatable. He sent a proxy to one of the debates. It's the same issue Eric Cantor had in VA. He forgot who he was responsible to.

Analyzing the facts of the situation isn't bs. She ran a low budget, grassroots campaign. She met the voters, put in the time with them, and her opponent couldn't bother to show up for scheduled campaign events. Missing a debate is a big f u to your constituents.
If she wins the seat, and she probably will, she will be every bit as effective as a square of toilet paper in a thunder storm.
Ok. She was the one who campaigned saying she was a Bronx girl and who grew up in a working class family...both technically true but also a bit deceiving.
Honestly I don't get all the fuss about her. She upset a long time dem who was high in the party. Same thing happened to the majority whip of the GOP in 2014. Anyone remember who beat him?
