WASHINGTON—The unemployment rate fell to an 18-year low in May and employers steadily added jobs, signs of enduring strength for the labor market.
The unemployment rate ticked down to 3.8%, matching April 2000 as the lowest reading since 1969.
The unemployment rate for black workers hit new record lows in May, the Labor Department's Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday.
Black unemployment fell sharply to 5.9 percent, beating out the 6.6 percent record low that was set a month earlier.
The unemployment rate for Hispanic workers hit a record low in April, at 4.8 percent.

Trump has destroyed our economy. OUCH!

who has said he "destroyed" the economy. I will say that IMO the tax cut was poorly times. I don't get immature use of tariffs. But I am not sure where you got the quote that he destroyed the economy from anyone here.

Not saying you but many on this board stated he would destroy the economy.

This is one of my favorites...

It's Hilary or Trump. Not a hard choice at all. I'll go with the crooked, cankled candidate over the death of the modern economy.

and he may in the end. I don't like the tax cut in the heat of a growing economy. I don't like his proposed massive deficits during robust times. (both generally are used to stimulate a weak economy and he is employing them during healthy times) I am completely baffled by his use of tariffs. At some point we are going to need cheap, unskilled labor to ease our housing shortage. But the economy is chugging along.....

If we lose over 3 million jobs we can get back to the great Obama economy.

Just to demonstrate how bad your contribution was, lets go back and compare what Republican Bush did vs Dem Obama with the economy.......... Again bad post.
Why not compare facts. Economy has added 3 million plus jobs since Trump became president. Nothing you say matter you hopeless hate mongering doofus.

Congress with all the mandatory bad loan guarantees in housing caused the economy to tank.

A verification that there are a very large number of uninformed idiots in this world, including on this board. A really sad state of affairs in this Country Great reason to continue limiting their access to political power and leadership.

4) Full-time jobs rose an eye-popping 904,000 for the month, while part-time positions declined by 625,000.

5) Unemployment for blacks continues to decline, with the rate falling to a record 5.9 percent, down a full point from March.
