What is crazy is that real wage grown still remains relatively stagnant since the recession ended. There are pockets where wages are growing but across the board, wage growth remains stagnant. Odd with the low unemployment rates.

As an aggregate this may be true statistically. However as a practical matter, I can promise you businesses are paying much higher wages in order to both attract talent and hang onto good workers. There are more jobs than people to fill them. More unqualified than qualified workers. So the demand for qualified workers is high, and they are commanding very good wages and also securing excellent bonuses and other incentive compensation from companies to retain their highly valued services.

The labor department measures all wages, so the lower end entry level jobs tend to skew those numbers. Yet even there, places like Wal-Mart, and Publix are offering starting wages @ 10 and 11.00 an hour just for entry level workers simply because they can't find enough of them! This will start showing up in the statistics too.

This happening all over. Entry level workers are moving up into higher paid positions, and their replacements are not readily available. Managers are being forced to cover a lot more shifts. So lots of places are offering higher starting wages. I'd say 10-to-10.50 an hour is about standard down here in Atlanta. You can't find anyone willing to work for less with little experience.

Harley-Davidson workers across the USA are reeling from the planned closure of the motorcycle maker's Kansas City plant, even as the firm is expected to reap huge financial benefits from the federal corporate tax cut.

The Milwaukee-based motorcycle manufacturer benefited from the tax cuts enacted Jan. 1, then announced cuts of 350 jobs across the company in late January. On Feb. 5 , it approved a half-cent dividend increase and buyback of up to 15 million shares.

Harley’s U.S. sales have been sinking in recent years as Boomers decide they are becoming too old to continue riding and fewer younger people step up to take their place. As a result, Harley said it was forced to cut excess factory capacity.

"Record employment of blacks, Hispanics and an 18-year low, for unemployment of women. Lowest unemployment in decades overall. ISIS reduced to basically nothing. American hostages released. Stopped catering to terrorist countries. On track to denuclearize North Korea. At the very least closer than previous administrations have come. Consumer confidence on the rise. Coalminers going back to work. Less government, less regulations...Oh the horror!" - moe

Know what frustrates and aggravates them the most about that list @30CAT ?

They have no better answer for any of it. Drives em loco! His success obviates their counter arguments, so they are essentially stripped of an agenda!

They hate him for that, but there ain't sh*t they can offer voters to do much of anything about undoing any of it! This is why they hate him so much. He was just supposed to f*ck up and fail so they could mock him and blame the idiots who voted for his anticipated clown show according to the Left.

But the Clown himself turns out has a pretty good show...fans are lining up to get in to see more of it...standing room only...tent is full. Leftists standing outside in the rain bitching about the weather.[winking]
