Watched a documentary about Jim Jones and Jonestown last night. Learned several things I never knew about the nut. He was one of the most admired persons at the highest level of the Democrat Party in California back in the 1970s........Jim Jones was the toast of far left liberal San Francisco throughout the 1970s. All the leading Democrats--George Moscone, Harvey Milk, Willie Brown, Jerry Brown,Diane Feinstein and Nancy Pelosi came a courting. Many of his key allies such as California Governor Jerry Brown, Pelosi and Feinstein are still in high government positions. He aligned with the USSR against America. He encouraged his followers to torture and murder their own family members. What a bunch of sickos.

I watched the same documentary about two months ago. You really screwed up a bunch of facts.

He was a Christian nut who believed in a bunch of stupid, make-believe **** who was responsible for the deaths of many followers. Period.

You must have watched a different one. The one I watched went into detail about his political friends back in his San Francisco days. Did you that Rosalynn Carter,yes the wife of the President, spoke at the nuts sooo called Church and even hosted a dinner in his honor. What facts do you not agree with? I don't think I mentioned a word about his religious beliefs.

It is an fact that Jim Jones was a sadistic mass murdering monster. Not only was the power elite of the California Democrat party a huge supporter of him, but they also covered for him when defectors began to reveal what was going on inside the people's temple (voter fraud, welfare fraud, child abuse and extortion and death threats to name a few). In fact Jones was never charged with a single crime the entire time he operated in San Francisco.
