✔@realDonaldTrump Russia and China are playing the Currency Devaluation game as the U.S. keeps raising interest rates. Not acceptable!

8:31 AM - Apr 16, 2018

Here is more evidence he doesn't understand anything related to economics. The Russian currency is losing value due to additional sanctions (he initiated and imposed by the way). The Chinese currency value has increased since he took office by 8%. The US dollar is down mainly due to increased interest rates here.....planned increases by the way as they have been communicated by the Fed. I am simplifying this a lot obviously.

I think he is taking a back-handed swipe at the Fed but who knows.........

I love how he tweets "Not Acceptable" as if they were asking. Twump Tweets, what a way to govern.

Well I am sure that after he dismantles the FBI he will go after the Fed's independence. The far right absolutely hates that the Fed isn't controlled by them. The resilience and overall strength of the economy is all corporate driven and the Fed only gets in their way you know............ How quickly the disciples forget 2007-09.

A lot of people have problems with the fed. The FBI brought this upon itself with it's attempt to subvert an election. good riddance to bad rubbish. I'm not talking about a majority of the FBI, just the people so far who have been named who let political beliefs get in the way of their job performance.

As you said it can get kinda deep in the weeds, but the Fed is not responsible for devaluing our dollar...markets & Foreign exchange rates are and the Fed simply reacts to what the markets are doing.

excerpt:
"as U.S. consumers increase their consumption of imports, the supply of dollars in foreign exchange markets rises. Figure 12-2 shows a rightward shift in the supply of dollars as U.S. consumers increase their purchases of imports"

I don't really quite understand how you can say that and the guy's (Trump) a Billionaire? It's not that easy to make that much money 'cause if it were, you'd see a whole lot more folks doing it!

Can you?
