Taking the family to Myrtle Beach. Will be there May 5th. Looking for quality place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with my wife and three kids (13, 11 and 8). Fairly familiar with Myrtle Beach, but still looking for good ideas. Thanks for any ideas.

Don't go to Myrtle Beach.

Honestly, I'm of no help. Never been there in my life and hope to keep it that way.

We used to have a place down there. And it can be nice if you go during the right time. May 5th will be cooler, not really good ocean swimming weather, but the crowds will be light compared to the insane summer months. And stay away from the strip and boardwalk areas, they've become a crime ridden mess in the summer.

I have never had a problem staying at Litchfield Beach Club(Gated). Clean and quiet for family. Refrain from the older place that is, - old? Wide choice of buildings to stay in - Ocean front, view or back a block or two. Eating within the gated community, but I prefer to drive a couple miles to Murrells Inlet for wide choice of eateries. Long lines if you go late.

Have a good visit.

That is a wonderful offer. We already have a place, though. I should have asked this sooner. Thanks for the kindness of your offer.

Is that the same as la la land?

I would like to have that offer. Only if you leave some of the stuff that you use while on this site. I have never been a user, but you obviously have the good stuff that makes you numb for the entire evening and into the following day.

That is in no way responsive to my assertion. You are attempting to redirect the discussion. Without much credibility in the way of a response.
Pretty much sums your your entire responses on the question about Esa. You continue to refuse to see his limitations and problems. Must be blind.

He keeps saying Esa was a great addition to the team and we say the stats show he wasn't.
That is a blatant lie. I never said anything about "great". Of course he was an addition to the roster. And the capability of the team.

Even here you are attempting to conflate two different threads. On this one, I was referring to your usage. The other one was about the basketball team and Routt in particular. Even there you and yours captured the thread and changed it to be about Esa. I don't know why you have a hard-on for the fellow, but I am reasonably sure it is affecting you life.

Get over it. Huggs is in absolute control of his recruit, as should be the case. He doesn't answer to a message board full of wannabes. Huggs even gets paid for his services regarding the WVU basketball team. And all you get is a heartburn and red ***.

Although this thread got hijacked to another topic, i want to provide an update for anybody looking for good food in Myrtle Beach. On the recommendation of a friend on another, non-sports message board, we went to Fiesta Mexicana in Myrtle Beach on Cinco de Mayo. Live band, great atmosphere, generous drinks (Artisan Margarita with raw agave), delicious food. i had the Rina Pillena (i'm sure i spelled it wrong). A pineapple sliced in half lengthwise, then filled with grilled shrimp, strips of grilled chicken, and strips of grilled steak, in a creamy tequila sauce. Highly recommend that restaurant to anyone looking for Mexican in Myrtle Beach. It's on King's Highway.

Also enjoyed the Sea Captain's House (the appetizer with crab, asparagus, sliced tomato, mozzarella cheese, and olives was top-notch), Hard Rock Cafe (Norwegian Salmon entree is incredible, have had it numerous times over the past few years), and Hook and Barrel. Hook and Barrel is a "green" restaurant. Their salmon and their mahi mahi were excellent, as were the blue crab cakes. Disappointed in Paula Deen's restaurant; lots of food but so-so.
