seems to me that our athletes need to be less political and concentrate more on their particular skill instead of making TV commercials and criticizing the President

They won more medals under Obama. Thanks Trump.
they were practicing screaming at the sky and reading from the liberal book of name calling when they should have been practicing their chosen craft.....and the tv commercials didn't help either....did any of the tv stars medal at all?...ps....found 3 bottles of BT this weekend:eek:kay:[banana]

I can't remember a time when I was less into the Olympics. There were some in the past that I watched little of because I had lots other things going on but this time I didn't have lots of other things going on but I watched maybe three minutes total because I just had no interest. I don't know if it's temporary or if instead I'm getting to the point where I just don't care who wins a ski race anymore.

More and more things feel market-y to me. I don't know if they are getting more market-y or if instead I'm just becoming more sensitive to marketing.

More and more "real events" feel like reality TV to me, like they're supposed to be real but in actuality they're staged. I don't know if I necessarily mean the Olympics by that (I definitely believe the athletic competitions are real) but I mean more like talk shows or news shows and awards shows (although I've long hated those).

If you're gonna have a put on show then say it's a put on show or if you're going to be real then be real.

ETA: Re. the OP, was there more political stuff from the athletes this time? I didn't notice. I not only didn't watch the events but I didn't watch the coverage of who won either. I literally have no idea who won what nor what anyone did that was considered political.

Snowflakes gonna snowflake. Boohoo, the athletes don't like Trump along with the other 65% of Americans.

I almost went the entire Olympics without seeing any of it, but went to Neds on Gull Lake for beer and wings Saturday afternoon and they had womens curling on, and after the 3rd pint, I ended up falling in love with the curler from Great Britain.

It must have been Snowsleds hatred of Obama that made them win less, like my hatred for Trump made him say he doesn't like active shooter drills, lol.
