So he can hire local liberals to work his re-election staff while being paid from county coffers...
They'll still blame the NRA for criticizing him and allowing the guns in the first place.
Geez, I literally said 7 times in the original thread I addressed this issue in. If he shorted his duty, he should be removed from office. I’m all for it. Did you know this information earlier today, when you accused me of saying we should find out more information before making the Sheriff the scapegoat?
As we learn more, the picture of who failed the kids will come out.
Sure you can. Its not as simple as firing them but he can be removed. He needs to resign.
All we have heard from the left side of the aisle all week is that it is the gun's fault. Gotta get rid of the guns first then do something to prevent this from happening again...
Yes you did say that, as I had commented that what we were learning was how Government failed these kids at all levels. But the NRA and Trump were still blamed before the Governement folks who dropped their responsibilities to those kids, and neither (Trump or the NRA) had anything to do with this!
That CNN "town hall" meeting was nothing more than a hit job on Trump and the NRA. Now that we know how derelect those Government officials were in their paid for responsibilities, where are the calls from the Left or from you for their resignations?

I didn’t vote for Israel. He’s not my Sheriff. I don’t feel like defending the man, when I learn multiple deputies failed to act. I’d like to hear more about it, but that’s how I feel after the initial reports about frustration from other police on the scene. However, he’s an elected official. I think it’s up to the people that elected him. I imagine the pressure will be on for him to step down soon.
The NRA is the biggest obstacle to more strenuous background checks and any type of weapons ban...even tracking processes by government. It’s not such a horrible thing to put them on the spot, imo. Money has a lot of power. Some people believe guns should be extremely restricted....they don’t like them, they don’t want them available for crazies to purchase legally and use them on children.....it doesn’t make them bad people. Maybe you think it makes them bad Americans, but that’s seriously debatable.
I know many conservatives hate CNN, and that’s ok. But if you think FOX is any less biased and aggressive in their approach your not seeing things very balanced. I posted an article by CNN on the district in Texas that already arms teachers. It was a positive article, quoting students that said they feel safe and protected. They really aren’t as one sided as you think. TV might be different, but I don’t watch it. They hate Trump, for sure, but many people do.
I'm sorry boomer...I don't need to hear anymore. Those kids are dead, and those Deputies who didn't risk their lives to go inside the school building to try and save them still have their jobs. I think they all should be fired, and that Sheriff should be recalled for malfeasance. Did you read in the CNN article where the other City police Captain or maybe it was the City Manager, chewed out that Broward county Sheriff last week? That Dude stood on that stage last night during that CNN Town Hall knowing full well he had 4 armed Deputies who refused to enter that building while that nut was in there slaughtering those kids! He let those people blame the NRA, and Trump knowing full well his men were a bunch of cowards!.
I've said the NRA is afraid of Government trying to take our guns away. The more power Governments get, that's usually what they do to control opposition to their rule. The more brutal they are, the more guns they confiscate. I know you don't see that in our Government, but many other Americans don't trust them, especially when they spy on innocent Americans illegally and lie about it, or refuse to protect innocent lives during the middle of crime they are sworn to protect citizens from.
