I didn't say there was anything wrong with being a Muslim, but I'd certainly argue some of their beliefs are wrong. As I'd also argue that much of the Nation of Islam's racist views are wrong. Believe what you want, doesn't make it right.
I can’t stand the NOI, and they are about as representative of the Islamic faith, as the KKK is of Christianity. What exactly are you missing here?

The link I asked you for where Keith Ellison denounced them and what they believe.

I have atl on ignore, dumbass.

And what if I’m black. A few of you would owe me a bunch of apologies.

Now go back and look at all of my posts and read them with the understanding I am black.

********.
Why would we owe you an apology? As a liberal, and black, you condone calling another black man a House N***** or any other version of the word? Interesting.

You obviously don’t get it. Racist *******.

What doesn't he get? You've never explained yourself so I assume his comments on it are at least equal to your "no comment"? At least he's attempting to explain himself. What's your excuse?

He’s no longer in the NOI. He denounced them as well, I’m pretty sure. Personally, I think he was a horrible choice, but a man can change. Aren’t you an example of that very thing? Many others have moved away from the NOI once they realized that their racist doctrine was wrong. That org preys on youth and anger.

I'm not 100% but it seems like Ellison was caught in a lie recently when it was uncovered that he had dinner with Farrakhan and the Iranian president in 2013 despite him saying otherwise.

Exactly! I posted a link to the article in the other thread (the poll). He's slick if not altogether dishonest.

He's a very creepy guy. If I was a democrat I would be weary as hell to have him in a leadership role of my party. Just as I don't want anyone associated with the KKK trying to represent the GOP.

Right again 007! If we had as our national co-chair a member of the KKK can you imagine the howling we'd hear from the media beyond the way they screech even now? Their silence over Ellison as Democrat party co-chair is nauseating! So is country's!

I posted the real racists, members of the GOP. You know Jeff Sessions was denied a judge seat because of his racism, right?
Trump lost a court case with the DOJ for racial discrimination in housing.
"Good people on both sides."
"There's my African American."

Yep, and you voted for the piece of **** and none of you right wingers on this board call him out on any of it. In fact, you all defend it.

I'm glad we had this discussion this morning on racism. It brought a lot to light.

I've pointed out how that's a lie about Trump "losing" a court case against racial discrimination, yet country continues to say that!

Republicans are the kkk.

Sorry, facts are a *****!

A Trump-supporting Kentucky man who previously served as a district judge pleaded guilty to a slew of crimes on Friday, including human trafficking.
Tim Nolan, the self-proclaimed chair of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign in Campbell County, could face up to 20 years behind bars for felony charges that also include promoting human trafficking of minors and unlawful transaction with minors, according to a press release from the Kentucky attorney general’s office.

The 70-year-old former judge was arrested in April and was later indicted on 28 felony counts and a pair of misdemeanor charges. As part of a plea agreement, Nolan pleaded guilty to 21 of those charges, which involved 19 victims. He’s also required to pay a $110,000 fine — the bulk of which will be donated to the Human Trafficking Victims fund established by state Lawmakers in 2013.

Nolan’s indictment rattled his small Kentucky community, where he worked as a district judge until 1985. He was well-known in Campbell County as an outspoken member of the Tea Party and enthusiastic Trump backer.

The former judge in June sued the managers of a website that posted a photo they said featured Nolan in a Ku Klux Klan outfit.

I'll bet country never saw this. In fact it was hardly covered by the news media. It's long, but essentially is a group of Black Pastors the other day calling out the Congressional Black Caucus for being insensitive to their constituent's needs. Country says Blacks who vote against this group are "not voting in their own best interests". Yeah, right!

You’ve got some f’ucking nerve.
I’m not going to declare either way, I just seem to remember you stating you were white in another discussion from several years ago. In the end, it doesn’t really matter if you’re black or if you’re white. You called another human being a house n*****. White or black, Asian or Hispanic, earthling or Martian, you lack character and epitomize what you decry. Basically, you’re a stereotypical liberal.

Well ****

Let me make it simple. I'm white and I'm saying Trump, who is white, is a racist. The evidence or proof of that is his lawsuit that he lost, filed by the DOJ, for racial discrimination in housing.

You linked me to an article that stated he (Ellison) no longer supports the Nation of Islam. All members of the Nation of Islam are Black Muslims. Keith Ellison is a Black Muslim, and follows Islam. If you accept he now rejects what members of the Nation of Islam believe then go ahead. My point is and remains, neither he nor that article you linked me to has stated that he rejects that Faith (Islam) or what they believe.

That is not running down a Religion. That is stating a fact of both him and what he believes which he has never rejected.

2 lies in one statement. Trump did NOT lose a court case for racial discrimination. Country claims to be Black but is quoted in this statement as saying he is also White which in fact certifies him as a Liar joining the ranks of @MountaineerWV and @WVUCOOPER .

He is Black. He is Muslim. He follow Islam. Stop playing games.
So black man that worships the Islamic faith is different from a white man that worships the Islamic faith....due to their skin color, the doctrine changes? What?

NOI has very specific views on race that are absolutely not supported by the Quran. Haven’t you ever studied the life of Malcom X?

He rejected the NOI after his journey to Mecca revealed to him that racism was not a fundamental aspect of the Islamic faith. He encouraged men and women of the Islamic faith to reject that racist fundamentalism of the NOI until his death.

I’m not sure why you are combining the two. Although, 007 was right when he pointed out that Ellison was caught eating with Farrakhan several years ago. He has denounced the NOI, but I’m not a fan of his....never have been.

You stated he rejects both. NOI and his Islamic beliefs. I asked you to link me where he has. You've failed. Now you're trying to expand the parameters of your initial false claim and lack of proof instead of admitting you don't know what the Hell you're talking about.

There are several members of the Nation of Islam who would kill you for suggesting otherwise. Keith Ellison at one time was one of them, but as you claim he now rejects all of that although you haven't been able to provide any definitive proof of that beyond his own rhetoric which was proffered for political purposes. As I said, believe what you want, it doesn't make it true.
