First I had to Google him to see who he is then I saw that he's buddies with Sean Hannity shew lol. Got it.
The federal deficit for 2017 was $666 billion. It was $80 billion more than the previous year and the highest in the last four years. With the economy in good shape, why did we increase the deficit? Dumb!
Just wait until you see the final numbers for 2018 with the tax reductions and the increased military spending.

Actually, Ds never caring about the debt is a misconception. The Presidents with the 4 highest deficits were Obama, George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. The last president to actually balance the budget was Clinton. Isn't he a Democrat?

Cheney told us they don't matter. They only matter to Republicans when there is a Democrat in the house, I'm sure that would be debatable to the GOPers on here but who cares, their hypocrisy glasses don't work.
Outside of Congress there are not a lot of happy republicans with it but that wont stop the clown parade and their strawman floats.

Sad thing is....there are many aspects of the GOP platform I agree with, and want to see Dems move more towards implementing. One of which is fiscal responsibility. It used to be free trade. Now it seems that the GOP is moving away from both.
We’ve been on an unsustainable path for 16 years. At this point, let’s just enjoy the last few good years we have left. I guess the libs are going to now be building their bunkers?

That was the most fiscally responsible government we've had during my adult life. The economic boom certainly helped. A Democratic president with a Republican congress drove the deficit down. The president was skewered as a traitor by many in his own party for making deficit reduction a priority.
with today's budget, when they add new planes,etc...
at least we'll be able to 'see' what we paid for...

Clinton was bashed by many Dems. But it was his devotion to free trade that helped changed the attitude of many within the party. Frankly, I’m surprised that running without a deficit isn’t more sought after by Dems, due to his economic successes in office.
