From what I’ve read they want a vote before DACA funding runs out.....the President to not be involved.....and a binding agreement that the House will go with whatever the Senate votes on.

And I believe they put the precious (and expensive) wall on the table for the President and his loyalists.

I support DACA.

Everyone supports DACA outside of hardcore isolationists. This is the Dems holding the Gov’t budget hostage, good strategy on their part. They need DACA secured before immigration reform otherwise they lose their shirt in negotiations.

Only choice the GOP has is to continue to not budge.

Authorization is not funding which is how Shumer continues to lie.

I think you overestimate the intelligence of the American people. Gruber hit it on the head.

I think they see this as a two-for, and this will make Trump look bad. I think it backfires, especially when Schumer is in charge of the message

Some Americans do. Stop acting like you’re more American than others....it’s fvcking ridiculous
If any American thinks shutting the govt down for DACA is a good idea they are not as American as I am. They are fiking retarded and they need to be told so and mocked accordingly.

Adding to the stupidity, there is no DACA legislation to vote on let alone sign so holding uo the buget is exponentially more stupid.

It’s always been a legitimate reason for shutting down the government? What was the reason that the GOP **** it down when Obama sat in the oval? Not funding Obamacare?

I can understand why you would want to change the subject. I mean DACA doesnt expire for 6 weeks so it is shutting down the govt today. Brilliant.

Yes, the majority of Congress proposed a Bill to significantly cut portions of the ACA. The minority in Congress and the sitting President disagreed. Now, you basically just have Schumer and the gang holding the country hostage over DACA when it’s not on the CR. They are trying to force the issue.

If I were the GOP, I’d keep the Govt shutdown and start working on immigration reform immediately coupled with DACA and just let the budget be stalled. The GOP has a chance here to completely **** the Dems if they want to take the gamble.

No. It is a pissing contest because your party sucks so bad that holding govt employees hostage is the only dick the DNC has.
Deals get made in government all the time....there are representatives from both sides on the hill

Schumer is looking like a genius. He got Congress to actually do their f'ucking job and discuss legislation on DACA and CHIP, both of which have been shoved under the rug for four months now because the POTUS is an idiot, has flip-flopped while the GOP members of Congress are trying to figure out what he actually wants.

So a six year extension of the CHIP program was attached to the CR that Schumer didn't like.

Cute isn't it?

Chucky probably woke up and realized, "What the fook did I accomplish with the shutdown?"
He knew they had lost the narrative so he blinked. I mean they had Friday what they got today and he is still crying that Trump wont deal with him.

Of course you do you big blue turd.

DACA has the potential to flip 5 red states, including Texas and Florida, blue permanently. That's why the D's want it so bad they see it as "checkmate" for their Marxist takeover.
Dems are counting the Latino vote before its hatched. Hispanics are some of the most devout Catholics, and they aren’t huge fans of the liberal dogma either. Supposing Trump gets immigration reform through.....I imagine he’ll take credit for it.

I get that but it's still a huge gamble to take with the future of America at stake.
