The Democratic senator was in the room when Trump made the "******** countries" comments yesterday, and he confirms the President did in fact use that language.
"I cannot believe that in the history of the White House, in that Oval Office, any President has ever spoken words that I personally heard our President speak yesterday," Durbin said.
"You've seen the comments in the press. I've not read one of them that's inaccurate. To no surprise, the President started tweeting this morning, denying that he used those words. It is not true. he said these hate-filled things, and he said them repeatedly," Durbin said.

Virtually EVERY news outlet has released this story and I have yet to see who the source is. And it's looking like this is very true
That wasn't my claim. I don't deny Trump used those words, I'm pretty sure he lied this morning also. My claim is that WaPo's anonymous source from yesterday wasn't completely truthful either. And they never have been.

I don't defend Trump. I laugh at, disparage, and in the case of many in government, want the criminal prosecution of, everyone trying to take him out. He is a miserable human being. I do like what he's doing policy-wise. But I won't defend his character.
