You are a rare bird (buzzard), as most WVU fans HATE Ohio State, and that's why I openly root against WVU. There was a thread posted recently on TOS, which asked WVU fans which schools that they hated the most, and Ohio State appeared on about 90% of the lists.
I don't have a reason to hate Ahia State any more than I'd have reason to hate any other program that we don't play. Herbstreit annoys me always touting them in any discussion about college football, other than that Ahia State is just about as insignificant to me as any other team we don't play (other than Marshall, of course). If not for you and your posts here I'd never give Ahia State a second thought.
Herbstreit isn't as nearly as big of an OSU homer as you think that he is. He said before the CFP Committee selected the four playoff teams that Alabama was better than Ohio State. Moreover, he allegedly moved from Columbus to Nashville several years ago because he had become so unpopular with Ohio State fans. At times, he bends over backwards not to be perceived as an OSU homer, but he shouldn't bother because so many people will call him an OSU homer, no matter what he says.
I saw that..........and he almost spit up in his mouth as the words came out, and I imagine in his mind he thought it was a foregone conclusion that Ahia State would get the bid. No one else on the panel could believe he said it.
He's an Ahia State homer. Always has been. Still is.
